Brought my bike in the last week of April to get the fork seals replaced and because they agreed to remove and then replace parts on the bike that were sent to get powdered coated. Bike sat at the shop for weeks before they even took the parts off which during this time my call log shows one to two phone calls a week asking about the bike which were dismissed by the owners and treated me like I was bothering them and usually hung up on me.
Got the parts finally painted at a local shop that took less than two weeks which is confirmed by receipt and credit card statement. After I dropped off the parts the paint shop they called and said they were missing a foot peg which when I called Hats Off and asked where it was stated they didnât know and blamed the paint shop and hung up on me and never returned my phone call to see if it was found. Then I returned the parts back to Hats Off on May31 which after another two weeks of calling was told the paint store lost my shift linkage and rear axe lug clip which is why they didnât do any work in my bike. This whole time my fork seals still had not been worked on despite he bike being in the shop the whole time.
When I finally told Hats Off Iâm coming in to pickup the bike regardless of the work done on July 13 my missing foot peg and shift linkage magically reappeared, except I spent $100 on a new set of pegs which cannot he returned due to the time between when I bought them and brought them in with the painted parts on May 31. They also didnât reinstall my passenger foot pegs and lost the bolt and screws. They tied a thin wire around my axel lug because they lost the clip which they blamed the paint shop for despite the lack of reason they would have even given them that part. They didnât balance my rear tire and the tech that brought it out said you donât need to balance a tire with a single-sided swing arm. Finally, the next morning I see fluid covering my brake calipers from the fork seals still not being fixed.
All of this Hats Off refused to take responsibility for and refused to refund my money despite the issue being 100% with the work that they did. Not the insane amount of time but took or how they complained that it was a complicated job. I was told to bring my bike back in and that they would âmake it rightâ which after 2.5 months and the display of utter incompetence, lies, horrible customer service, obviously incompetent techs, and the horrible condition of my bike when I finally demanded I get it back I would be insane to let them work on my bike any further. Also to be told âI donât know if I can trust what your sayingâ when I called as if I wanted to spend my day angry writing reviews that Hats Off couldnât just do a good job, or even a decent job, and now filing complaints with BBB and a dispute with my credit card company. Give me a break. No one...
Read moreThe service here is awful. I've been through 3 or 4 times and only once was my interaction friendly. Usually there is the same man behind the counter who gives off the impression he could care less that I was there. Not only has the service been horrible in person, but I was none to pleased with my service when bringing my bike in for service. I brought my 81 in for repairs and while trying to explain what was going on and some stray wires I noticed while taking a look myself, the staff's only concern was leaving for the day. There were still 10 minutes left before close and all I wanted was to take a couple seconds to explain what I saw. Neither of the two cared to hear what I said. After a few days I got a call back explaining that the only problems noticed was some corrosion around some connectors and that they cleaned it all out and they were only charging me for an hour of work. I was rather excited to have my bike back with such minimal amount of work. When I asked about the wires however, they simply said that because it was so old, they didn't want to take the time to find a copy of the schematics. With youtube and google being so widely available, I find it hard to believe the wiring schematics would be so impossible to find. Anyways, upon receiving my bike, I popped the seat to take a look, and to be honest, everything looked the exact same as when i left it. It started however, so I left to go to an event. ON MY WAY to the event from the shop, my RPM meter stopped working. Then, as I went to leave my event, I had the EXACT same problems trying to start my bike as I did before I took it to get it looked at. Upon arrival at my house, I gave them a call to explain my concerns. THIS IS WHAT KILLED IT. When I explained what had happened upon receiving my bike back, the person on the phone sounded annoyed with my concerns. He said it wasn't "our problem," because he swore they never messed with anything with the RPM meter. I tried to explain that that wasn't the point! I gave it to you with a working RPM meter and received it back with a broken one. AT THIS POINT he sighed into the phone!! Sounding irritated that I was upset at the quality of service he said that, "i guess maybe we can try to look into it before saturday." What kind of customer service is this?! I've spent years in the customer service industry and this is by far the WORST service i've ever received in my life. I will not be returning here and my friends are sure to be hearing...
Read moreDue to the low Google Review rating I was hesitant to bring my 212X Jet Boat here but they are the only registered Yamaha Jet Boat shop within 3 hours of Omaha. I brought my boat in for Winterization and for an oil change and to ask a few Y.E.S. warranty questions. After having my boat for 1 week and not hearing back I called them to find out they had not touched it yet. After waiting another week I got a call from them on a Saturday at 2:15 saying the boat was done and that I needed to come get it by 4:00. I promptly went to get my boat (half hour away) only to find out they did not change the oil filters. The sad part is they did not seem surprised nor were they apologetic. Sharon seemed upset that they would have to change the oil again (not %100 sure they changed it the 1st time). I called back the following Thursday as I had not heard anything only to be told by Sharon they had not got to it yet as other Boats had come in for service. Not how their error caused me to go to the end of the line. Seriously, how long does it take to change the oil? I would have thought they would have had my boat ready by Tuesday at 10AM. Again, no apologies or any effort at providing Customer Service. I finally get a call on Friday at 4:00 saying the boat is ready (almost 3 weeks after taking it in). I show up at 9:00 on Saturday morning when they open to find out that Sharon is not there yet and that I have to wait for her. I talk the guy into getting my boat hitched up so can get out there once Sharon arrives. He pulls my boat out with the fork lift, drops it behind my truck and goes back inside, does not even help be back up or hitch it up. Again, no idea of what customer service is. They left the inside of my boat with dirty finger prints on the seat and footprints on the carpet. My recommendation would be to go somewhere else that actually cares about you, your boat and that wants to provide some level of customer service. At the end of the day they have a google rating of 3...
