Had such an awful experience at this post office today. Went in to receive help figuring out why I have been missing half of my mail. The first lady that helped me was nice and quick to assist my issue. I informed her that I wasn’t receiving all of my mail and that when I would continue waiting past the Informed Delivery time, I still never received it. She took my name and address to go check for me. Now, I’ve been living at my address for a little over a year and have had this issue before. Right before I moved in I did my change of address so there shouldn’t be an issue. The lady came back and mentioned a name I never heard of before. Apparently this person is on the address and not me. Not only that but the mailbox was listed as vacant so at this point I was very confused. She asked if I wanted to speak to a supervisor and I accepted. Twice, a supervisor was called in within 5 minutes and no one came up. The lady pulled her drawer and told me they would be there in a bit so I stood there and waited. I waited about 7 minutes and another lady came by with her drawer and told me to stand at the counter 2 spaces over so I did. I was standing at that counter for 15 minutes with no supervisor and no other help. No one asked if I needed help or made sure I was being assisted they just helped the 20 others that came through. After yet another 10 minutes someone comes to the register. I don’t really remember his name but I think it was Eric. He completely ignored me and worked on stapling what looked like passport documents for a lady being assisted beside me. Out of nowhere he pushes my things towards me and continues to ignore me. Then he tells me to move so he could help the other lady. Frustrated, I grab my things and stand in the far corner of the room. Seeing my frustration, his coworker asks if I’ve been helped and I said no I’m waiting for a supervisor still. He calls up a supervisor and one finally showed up. I was really irritated I had to wait when some could have helped the first or second time they were paged. I explained my situation and he told me “my mail guy delivers everything, it’s what he does” well apparently not cause I’m missing mail. I explained that I have Informed Delivery and every piece they take a picture of has my current address. The supervisor asked for my number to call me later after he was going to figure it out and I never got a call. I went to the post office at I think 11:45 am. I just really don’t appreciate being made to feel like my matter wasn’t important to...
Read moreI’m incredibly disappointed with USPS’s handling of my recent Amazon package delivery. They claimed to have attempted delivery on a federal holiday, which doesn’t make sense because no deliveries are typically made on those days. To make matters worse, I had specific delivery instructions on my Amazon profile to call or text me upon arrival so I could come downstairs to retrieve the package, but they never did.
No effort was made to contact me, and they also failed to leave a PS Form 3849 - We ReDeliver for You! slip, which is standard protocol when a delivery attempt cannot be completed. This makes it clear that they didn’t actually try to deliver my package and instead fabricated the attempt.
This lack of accountability and disregard for my clear instructions is unacceptable. USPS needs to improve communication and honesty regarding delivery attempts. I rely on timely deliveries, and this experience has been extremely...
Read moreFirst of all, yeah, the building isn't in the best shape. Meh. What really counts are the people running it.
I recently had a package that was delivered to the wrong address, so here I came, fire and fury, racing inside to fix whatever broken system I had cooked up in my mind at that point. I was helped by Nikko, who graciously called up the Delivery Route Supervisor, Marlene, who took my info down lickety-split, went in the back, and handled business. 5 minutes went by, and she came back out and informed me that the delivery driver had delivered it to the wrong address (it wasn't her normal route), and that it would be delivered back to me immediately.
I flew back home, and en-route, received a call from the wife that it was delivered back to the correct address. Talk about handling business, right?
Thank you to the wonderful and patient staff at this facility for fixing my...
