Christina's Uniforms — Local services in Bellflower

I can thread monofilament through the eye of a salmon egg hook, but for the life of me, I can't seem to thread a sewing needle.

That's where Christina's saves the day!

For only $4.50, I can get my pants hemmed within minutes.

I have short legs, so whether it be jeans or dress pants, I either have to find pants with an inseam of 28-29, or have the length altered. I generally have 1 or 2 pair of jeans, 1 pair of khaki pants & 1 pair of black dress pants, so I don't go to seamstresses that often. Having bought a new pair of black dress pants, due to my weight loss (yes!) I came to Christina's for a hemming.

Walking in wearing the dress pants, I had the seamstress pin the correct length, and then I changed & gave her the pants to work on. Minutes later, everything was good & I was ready to go. $4.50 is about the best deal you can find, IMHO.

Christina's seams to have a good inventory of scrubs, from brand names like Dickies, to the cheap no-name attire. They also carry footwear & some basic medical supplies.

Service was good. The ladies usually are by the entrance, and are there to answer any questions. Parking is in a private lot dedicated to Christina's. Be forewarned, the place is easy to miss driving by on Artesia. Just keep your eyes peeled.

Christina's does it for me when I need some garment alterations. My lack of sewing competence & also lack of desire to are what will keep me coming here. As long as the hemming prices stay cheap, I'll be a dedicated...

I have been coming here for the past 5 years to get all my clothing altered. On average I would spend $7-$11 for my pants to get slimed and shortened. I just went in there today and it’s a new owner. I brought the pants they did previously to match the new patch I just got, but now they are charging me $26. The price to alter my pants now cost more than the pants itself 😂. Time to find a new...

My experience here wasn't the most convenient but considering that its the holidays, I understand that hours may change. They were closed when I got here so I had to come back the following day.

There's plenty of parking so that shouldn't be a problem.
