These folks have been nothing but honest, caring, and very fair. The fact that it is a family-owned and operated business is reflected in how they treat their customers. My fiancee went in to have her engagement ring resized. They told her it would take 1-2 weeks. Even with Thanksgiving in the middle, the ring was ready for her in 1 week. When I went with her to pick the ring up, I was curious to see the wedding band she was telling me about which had matched her engagement ring extremely well. They couldn't find it right away, and had 3 family members searching high and low through their wedding bands to find the ring. It was eventually found, and they took the time to show us how well it worked.

Come to find out, we didn't find any better looking engagement rings, so we returned a little over a week later to order the rings. Compared to any large jewelry store, Piette was more fairly priced. We were told up-front that the rings would likely be more than what was on the tag, and we were fine with paying the difference. It was more than what was initially showing on the price tags on the rings, but when he returned to give us the prices, he discounted it back to the price on the tag.

When I got engaged, I could not wait to go shopping for my wedding bands. I went to a larger jewelry store in the mall to start and they were so pushy that it had turned me off to the whole process. I decided to pop into Piette’s to see what they had. I had never visited the store before but knew they had been around for generations as a family owned business. I had the pleasure of meeting Ross upon my arrival. I happened to be with my mother at the time and from what I recall...we shut down the store looking at wedding bands all night..trying on, (I think) practically everything in the case. While deciding what I liked and didn’t, Ross so helpful to give other options of what I may like as the night went on. While having one of the most memorable nights with my mom doing our favorite thing(looking at jewelry) I had Ross there too. He was so patient with all of our looking...with his professionalism & expertise in every piece we chose to see; he made the night even better with lots of laughs and fun. Please read- I have a Movado watch purchased from Ephraim Doumato Jewelers. It stopped working working after 3 years so I went back to where it was purchased fit or service only to have them send it to Movado. In short, neither Doumato nor Movado diagnosed the watch. Movado quoted $420 to rebuild the watch. I refused and had it returned to me.

In the meantime I searched for other local to North Smithfield and found Piette Jewelers in Bellingham. I sent them an email to ask if they could repair a Movado which they replied that it would depend on the issue and if necessary, could send it to their watch maker who uses genuine Movado parts.

I brought the watch to the store and spoke with Ross. He spent a minute or two with the crowns and the watch started to function. He requested to keep it for a week to monitor the watch which I agreed to. After a week Ross called and said that the watch is functioning normally, and I could pick it up. Ross gave me the watch back and refused to accept payment for his time and saving me $420. I now have a new jeweler and will recommend them to everyone. Incredibly honest...
