Pros: the engagement and wedding ring I got are exactly what I was looking for. I received a beautiful product and am happy about that.

Cons: .... just about everything else. The customer service is terrible. The owners are pushy sales people. They did not like when I asked for my wedding band to be made with lab grown diamonds; it was clearly a loss in sales revenue for them, and I had to get my fiance to step in and help me talk to the owner because I was so anxious due to their pushback. I was never offered CAD or specs of the products I received (I did get the authentic documents for my solitaire diamond).

On top of that, Leo and his partner never called when my rings were ready for pick up. My fiance and I had to call several times; upon picking up my wedding band we decided to go the store directly to retrieve it, knowing that despite not calling us to let us know our paid product was finished, of course it was ready.

It felt like we as customers never really mattered to the owners. It felt like we were a nuisance.

Leo kept asking me every time I saw him to write a review, so here it is: I do not recommend this store. Go someplace else with actual customer service.

Edit: Adding the most poignant issue. Leo quoted me a number for my wedding band based on lab diamonds. Months later when I went to order the wedding band, Leo said it was 3x the cost due to Trump, tariffs, and a lot of other reasons that didn't make sense. I was very shocked and considered not getting a wedding band at all, since we couldn't afford the new cost.

My fiance went to talk to him the next day to set things straight. My fiance did his research and found that the price for gold had gone up by 20%, but that shouldn't account for a 1k ring now being 3k. Leo then claimed he was quoting a ring with natural diamonds and made a big fuss. My fiance remained calm and worked with him and eventually got him down to the original quote. It was ridiculous and completely soured our experience. We'll never go back to...

I bought her ring there in the summer of 2012. And I was more than happy to have bought it there at GVS. The service was impeccable.

I did my rounds from store to store, which included GVS, to get more educated on the diamonds. Once I felt I was beginning to know what I waslooking at in a diamond, I decided to give GVS a chance.

About selecting the diamond and setting: The man who helped me obviously knew about diamond rings, knew what how to learn about me and my fiancee (through casual conversion and animated anecdotes), and finally knew exactly the diamond and setting I was looking for.

About the service: As previously mentioned, the service was impeccable. The diamond I selected was set in another ring, which was not a setting that suited my tastes for my expecting girlfriend. The man helped me select a setting through a catalog to have delivered and set in time for my quickly approaching proposal weekend. He bent over backwards to make sure that I was happy with the ring and doing business.

Something special: In case the fact isn't clear, I was proposing to my girl before we had ever gone to look at rings. So, I didn't know what size ring to get. The man knew the size of the ring to get my girl. I was amazed when I put the ring on her finger and how perfectly it fit. No refitting necessary. Truly outstanding. It's almost a magic trick.

Over all: I am a very happy customer. I would recommend GVS as a place to purchase your engagement rings.

My wife went here to get all three of our rings resized, and the owner was very helpful in determining the correct resizing for her. The quoted price of $330 for all three was a little high but not unreasonable (slight reduction of a 4.5mm band, slight increase on a 1.7mm band and 1.7mm band+pave halo). We decided to go with them for their expected fast and local service despite the cost.

However, they never contacted us to pick up our rings - they said they would email, phone, or text when the order was done. After a week, we called them and they said the order had been ready for a while.

Then, when my wife picked up our rings GVS suddenly claimed that the cost was $150 more than previously agreed ($480 total), even though the three items and $330 were clearly marked on the initial receipt! After agreeing to half of this increase in order to reclaim our rings without too much hassle, they then charged $450 to our card! My wife pointed out the discrepency, and they started writing a check for $45, but then changed this to $40.31 for some reason.

I would never recommend anyone go here for service - extremely unprofessional when the time for payment arrives, and they might arbitrarily decide to charge more for agreed-upon service and perform the work without confirmation of the...
