**BEWARE My elderly mother took her car out for service the told her it needed a entire new front end, and was going to cost her $2800.00 I took the car to a dealership in Ny the fixed the car for less than $800. I figured I would give them another chance, after all I was just getting an oil change and a four wheel alignment, fast forward to noon that day they tell me I need rear brakes, I ask for a price, and I feel I was given a fair price for a dealership so I told them to go ahead with the brakes, but questioned the estimate because it listed my oil change at $249.49 I was told she forgot to adjust the price it was only $99. So ok, but do they forget all the time unless questioned by the customer??? Not it’s 5 pm and the service advisor calls to tell me that while doing the rear brakes the emergency brakes and protection shroud had crumbed to pieces from rust. And it was going to cost an additional $2600.00 to fix my car. I said they crumbled?? Yes sir they crumbled from all the rust! This car has never seen snow, never seen a winter, it has 60k miles on it so I say impossible. She says I’ll send you pictures, to whilch I replied “ please do” the picture come and I see nothing crumbling from rust, some surface rust in the calipers but nothing major. She insists it needs to be fixed, I tell her I’ll drive right out, I need to see this. Nothing is rusted, nothing has crumbled. The mechanic tells me that he was struggling to get the old brake calipers off he damaged an adjustment screw for the emergency brake. And that hub comes in one piece. $1100 each side, I say show me the other side, the shroud is all bent up and he sayid that was fixable, ( bent from him using a pry bar to get the old calipers off) they showed me the floor and said look at all the rust, I saw just a small amount of dust, common from even a new car!! I told them to fix the car, replaced what they broke, but I wasn’t paying for there damage!! Next day they left a voicemail saying that they put the car back together the way it was when I bought it in, and weren’t charging me for the oil change or tire rotation, and had suggestions on paper as to what it needed. They broke my car worse by improper workmanship and pounding admission by the mechanic and they didn’t fix...
Read moreWe’re willing to work with my car shield warranty, and where helpful on that end. However I wanted to also pay for rear brake pads, and mounting my summer tires onto my truck out of pocket. They ended up also doing the rear rotors because “We have to do the rear rotors when we do brake pads to warranty the brake work”. First time I’ve ever heard such a thing but regardless THEY NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT THE ROTORS UNTIL AFTER IT WAS ALREADY DONE. Extremely frustrated with the rotor situation. Then they over charged me for mounting my tires, and they “accidentally”’double charged men for my warranty deductible. Benefit out the doubt okay fine it was an accident, but to do work on my rotors without my approval and then to over charge me $170 is inexcusable. Also when I went to pick my truck up within minutes there was a new rotational noise coming from the rear end of my truck. I brought it back and Oliver Fords service manager who tried to convince me that it was my summer tires rubbing. I’ve owned these tires and rims for 3 years and they do not rub… When I called back the dispute the bill (which they agreed they owe me money back for over charges) they said “oh we found the issue with the new noise”. So not only did the service manager gaslight me into thinking it was my tires and nothing on their end they also over charged me and owe me back $236. The only thing I enjoyed about this experience with Oliver Ford is the that they were willing work with my warranty company car shield and put me in a new rental vehicle, because they took over 1 week for a starter, ball joint with an alignment, rear brake pads(and rear rotors I did not approve of). I will return to them again in the future because they will work with my warranty company car shield but I will be making sure my bill is accurate and no work will be done without my approval first. I won’t hold all the blame on Oliver Ford but mainly the lack of communication from one service personal. If you read this Oliver please feel free to contact me via cell phone and we can discuss this. I’d like the be a returning customer and do not want to hold this entire dealership accountable for the actions...
Read moreI ordered a Maverick from Alan in September of 2022. It was finally delivered July 5th. I was only aware due to the Ford Dashboard, and when I reached out to Alan, my salesman, he asked me if I could come down that day and that they 'don't hold vehicles'. I went to pick the truck up the following morning. I was satisfied with the vehicle and after 10 months of waiting, very excited to get my new Maverick. Alan finally brought the paperwork over and informed me that they were going to charge me $10,000 over MSRP, which was $30,800. I had signed a purchase order in September with this price and it corresponded with the Ford Dashboard. As you can imagine, I was upset, and in his explanation for why the price was hiked, Alan pulled up Carvana's website to show me the current market value. Also stating that people are reselling these after ordering. To which I responded I would gladly sign a contract of some sort, as I had no intention of reselling. After they wouldn't budge more than a few grand (and offering me well below my KBB trade in value), I left. I received a phone call from Alan 5 minutes later saying they could come up $2k on my trade in, which is still $2k below the average trade in value, but couldn't come down on the price of the truck. Another justification that Alan brought out was, 'they have to keep the lights on'.... Take it for what you will, but I will never return to this facility, nor a Ford dealership. Be aware of this story and the people who were involved if you plan on going to Oliver Ford. I wasted 10 months waiting for this vehicle, and these folks didn't seem to care at all about that. The vehicle I ordered wouldn't have been allocated to them without my order, and now they get to jack up the price as...
