I wish I could give this scam of store zero stars!!!! Avoid Mike at all cost. This jerk sold me an iPhone 7 claiming it was brand new for $600. Come to find out this particular iPhone was recalled and the software is damaged. The phone was sold to me in August but the recall was in June...... I called Metro PCS customer service line about the issue and they said they will open a repair ticket for me for a metro Dealer to open and begin repairs free of charge (because I shouldnât have been sold a recalled phone in the first place) and if they canât fix it I will receive a new phone. So I went to Mike and simply told him the problem with the phone and that metro has a ticket on my account to be inspected. He laughed in my face, and told me that it wasnât his problem and there wasnât a recall. He wouldnât even check my account! I reported him to Metro and will keep reporting him until this is resolved. Come to find out when I went to Apple, they said all cell phone carriers were informed of this recall. So Lie #1!!! Then when they were working on my phone they told me that it was clearly a refurbished phone and no way was it new. Why? By this jerk Mike lied to me and sold me an unlocked Verizon phone that was sold on February 2017 and the phone was still under the original persons number. LIE #2!!!!! This jerk is a scam artist, and I honestly hope more people catch on and he...
Read moreAt the end of January I spent $70.00 to have my three year old iPhone 11 battery replaced by Mike. Barely four months later it swelled up and damaged the screen to the point it lost its touch-capabilities, and the battery was losing its charge within an hour of being fully charged. I have only used Apple chargers and do not use my phone while it is charging, like Mike told me to do. I called the store and was told that there was only a 30 day warranty on the repair, which I wasn't told initially. So, I took it the Apple-certified technician back at home (I am a college student who lives an hour out of Berea) and, $215 later I was told that the battery from City Cell was the cheapest the technician had ever seen, and that he had never seen one like it before. I thought that City Cell seemed a little off when I first visited, but I needed my phone fixed before a three day trip out of town, and things seemed okay-enough. Mike stressed that they always strived to help college students in the area, but in hindsight, I was scammed by City Cell, and I will not be coming back, nor recommending this...
Read moreBought a phone and they said we had a 30 day gaurentee but failed to mention it excluded returns. I had the receipt two days later and when I tried to return it, they said no. Any legitimate business would offer a return with in a certain time frame. Just another run of the mill, sketchy scam "business", if you want to call it that. Oh and both phones I looked at weren't even charged so we stood around waiting to see if the thing even worked. They also told me the phone was a display phone, however there were a few dents in the side. So that didn't make sense. The the box looked like it came out of the trash that wasn't a iPhone box. Companies like Verizon and sprint keep the boxes of the display phones so why didn't they have the iPhone box of it was a "display"? Just over all sketchy place. Next time I'm without a phone like I was, I'll opt to go without a phone before...
