Something Olde Antique Mall — Local services in Berea

We were driving through the area on our way to Gatlinburg, TN, when we googled local antique stores and came across "Something Olde Antique Mall" as highly rated. I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Karen couldn't have been more compassionate AND HONEST. When we saw a beautiful dresser she was upfront to tell every detail of restoration that discounted it as an authentic antique. Nevertheless, we fell in love with it and when we came to actually purchase it Karen refused to take a commission (it was on consignment from a friend who was going through a rough time). This little antique shop looks small on the outside, but once you enter it is so large. They have such a large variety of items. They have very nice little divided and separate sections when you enter. Also, don't forget to check the basement when you go! There is a lot more antiques down stairs. Karen, the owner is such a wonderful lady! She is super nice and friendly!

There is also an upstairs which is a second store in this antique shop. It is called the Wardrobe and has been open for about 10 weeks. It has a lot of women's clothing and books. In spite of hours listed online and on the door, the shop was not open when I first attempted to visit. Came back later since I was passing by. The whole place is dimly lit and about a third of the light panels are either burned out or not turned on. Some booths were so dark I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see anything. Interesting selection but the dim to non-existent light ruined the experience. Saw a few items I was interested in that lacked prices. Makes for a pointless...
