I had lip blushing done by Noel, the owner and permanent makeup artist at Art of the Arch Aesthetics in Berkeley Heights. I went in wanting a soft, natural-looking lip revival and clearly told her I didn’t like warm tones. The consultation and appointment are all together. It felt rushed—she only swatched two (at the same time) very sheer colors that looked more like gloss, and I wasn’t given a real opportunity to choose or approve or most importantly be in love with the final shade. It was quick into the tattooing. During the procedure, she discouraged numbing cream, saying it doesn’t hurt. But tattooing your lips is very uncomfortable. Very spicy feeling. It’s frustrating that she insisted on that approach when she herself has no permanent makeup and can’t truly understand what the pain feels like. She doesn’t believe in that look for herself. What was especially upsetting is how the situation was handled afterward. Instead of taking responsibility, Noel suggested I contact her trainer, Carla from Perma Blend (the distributor of the pigment). They offered laser removal—but the specialist is based in New York City, which is extremely inconvenient. That’s not a real solution, and I felt completely brushed off. I would never get back in her chair again. The outcome is extremely disappointing. It’s so much pigment. My lips look blotchy and uneven, with parts of the liner missing color entirely. The shade is way too bright for me—I barely wear makeup, and now I feel like I’m stuck with a heavy lip stain 24/7. I don’t feel like myself anymore. This was the most expensive option in the area, and I chose it because I didn’t want to skimp on something so permanent. I regret that decision. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a thoughtful consultation or a natural result. I’m amazed there are so many positive reviews.

Noel is absolutely incredible!!! I was definitely a bit nervous as this was my first cosmetic procedure, but this could not have gone better and was worth every penny! Noel put so much time and care into making sure I was completely comfortable with the shape before starting the micro blading. She was super patient and even did 2 or 3 more trial drawings on the day of the appointment when I expressed some hesitation about the shape I wanted. From the phone call, to the in-person consultation, to the actual microblading, it was clear that Noel is an expert in her craft and dedicated to making sure each person feels confident with their brows. She explained everything thoroughly and throughout the process and also offered a payment plan which was great. I couldn’t be happier with the result and they look so natural! I can’t believe how realistic the hair strokes look. It is exactly what I wanted. The pain was moderate during the procedure and I did not experience any complications after. Noel provides detailed after instructions/care package and an ointment. They were a little red right after, but barely noticeable- I went to dinner that night!! Waking up with perfect brows has been amazing and something I never thought I would have. I would recommend this to anyone!!! Before and after photos attached - immediately after and three days later :)

I had the absolute best experience having my brows microbladed with Noel at Art of The Arch Aesthetics! I had been interested in having this done for the last 5 years but never felt confident in any place to have something so permanent done to my face. From the moment I sat back in Noel’s chair for my initial consult I felt at ease. She was so patient and showed me multiple techniques that could be used and actually did an example on my brows so I could fully understand what my end result would be. On top of the actual consult I also dug deep into their Instagram page and watching all the tutorial videos and reading the comments by other providers about how they are learning from her made me confident I had found a top tier studio and artist. The day of the actual microblading she did what we decided in the consult again so we were both completely confident in what I wanted and the actual microblading was so easy I was pleasantly surprised. It also meant something to me that the whole vibe of the studio was so professional and spa like it didn’t feel like I was walking into a quick in and out office. I highly recommend anyone looking to do this to book with Noel and her team.

I am so impressed and pleased with the staff and services at The Art of the Arch & Aesthetics in Berkeley Heights, NJ. I recommend them to anyone curious about permanent makeup. Having my eyebrows done has been on my wishlist for well over a decade or two but life intervened and I continued to put it off. I have moved from place to place and continued to search the web for examples of elder white-haired women who have tattooed eyebrows. I am a fairly nervous perfectionist and had a great deal of trepidation about having something so permanent done to my face. I recently moved to NJ and kept looking for white--not gray haired women before and after pictures which are far and few between. When I came across the website of The Art of the Arch & Aesthetics, I knew I had found the place to go and signed up for my consultation right then.

I had a consult with the stunning, creative and talented founder and owner, Noel Del Viscio. She is an impressive entrepreneur who followed her passion and started her own business. The setting is tasteful, impeccable, friendly and professional. Noel patiently listened to my many concerns and explained to me her client selection criteria and design decision making process. Given my health concerns, she wanted to hear from my physician that I was healthy enough to have this process with no reactions. I was a little disappointed but respected her genuine concern and integrity. I was able to provide that and happily made an appointment to go ahead. Noel is kind, caring, and so knowledgable. She explained what she intended to do and went about doing it. She gave me great confidence in her expertise. She showed me that even though I had been considering this for years, I do not know anything and I ultimately trusted her creativity, standards of excellence, and taste. I am very happy to have known the right place to go when I saw it and to have had the pleasure of meeting such an impressive business owner as Noel. Everything she does, from marketing, to mentoring, to building client relationships; she does with passion, purpose and excellence. I have completed my initial consult and my first session with my follow-up to come. As a white-haired woman who has been applying my own eyebrows for years, every time I catch sight of myself with natural looking eyebrows, I am so happy and more confident. My biggest fear was I would regret doing something so permanent to my face, but the whole process and the result was sublime. I can't wait for my follow-up session. And I look forward to getting other services in the future. They...

Learning permanent makeup can be quite daunting as most of us navigate through trial and error, but having Noël as a mentor is an absolute game-changer. She takes the time to explain crucial details upfront, rather than just glazing over it. She makes a point to guide us on how to avoid common mistakes and providing insights.

One of the many standout aspects of Noël's teaching is her comprehensive knowledge- and continuing learning- of the skin, pigment, and needle types. She doesn't just scratch the surface; she delves deep into the differences explaining the reasons behind each. It's clear she wants us to understand not only what we're putting into the skin but also its long-term effects—a testament to her commitment to responsible practice.

What truly makes Noël exceptional is her patience and unwavering support. Mistakes happen, but she never makes you feel inadequate; instead, she turns every misstep into a valuable learning opportunity. Observing her during procedures is enlightening—she shares insights and discoveries, ensuring that every moment is a chance to grow and refine our skills alongside her.

Noël's passion for permanent makeup is nothing short of infectious. Her genuine desire for her students' success drives her teaching. She creates a safe environment where someone can be themselves while diving into permanent makeup. She shows the most incredible amount of patience if you are a big question asker. She goes beyond technicalities; she fosters a community of artists who are not only skilled but also deeply passionate about their craft.

What sets Noël apart as a mentor is her unwavering commitment to her principles. She never compromises on her beliefs and always prioritizes the client's well-being. Her dedication to staying true to her knowledge and values is truly inspiring and sets a high standard in the field.

In summary, learning under Noël's guidance has been transformative. She is not just a mentor but a role model—equipping us with not only the technical skills but also the mindset and values that define excellence in...
