Craft Bagel Co. — Restaurant in Berkeley Heights

I really want to love Bagel Cafe but the service and communication is consistently poor. After being treated rudely I went back to do business with them again. I placed an order for 4 egg and cheese sandwiches an hour before they closed online and when we showed up to pick it up they said they didn’t have the bagels specified, never made any of the sandwiches, and they would not make anything for us because they were closing in 20 minutes from the time we arrived. They did not offer any solutions - the grill is not required for bagels and cream cheese — we would have gladly pivoted as we were hungry. They had dozens of bagels sitting in the store and putting the sandwiches on any other type of bagel would have been acceptable, but instead they just waited for us to arrive to tell us they made nothing (we placed the order at Noon and arrived by the 12:42 when they said it would be ready). Upon arrival they told us nothing was made or would be made because they were closing. There was no manager available to speak with us and zero attempt to offer a solution - they left us starving in every sense! Thankfully we called Craft Bagel in Berkeley Heights and they were more than accommodating - within 10 minutes we had 4 absolutely delicious bagel sandwiches. Seems like a bunch of kids running the place, but who said entrepreneurship has to be limited to older people? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Bagels are huge, they're cooked perfection, place is clean, professionalism observed, place is well stocked, & organized. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in all honesty. I hope this place stays put.

I went from eating maybe two or three bagels per year, to having to discipline myself to not go there every day. I'm at the age now where I can't have that many carbs or else I'll be 500 lb.

The French toast bagel is to die for, and they have every bagel available to suit one's taste. Coffee is fresh, lots of different options as far as flavorings and I guess the only complaint is the location because there isn't a lot of parking available - on the street and near an intersection - traffic 35 to 40 mph past the location.

Everyone who knows me knows in love a good bagel in the morning. I was SO excited to try these bagels based off everyone’s reviews ! I Found this place off Uber. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a bagel with bacon and cheese no egg. My entire order was wrong but it had the right receipt attached to the bag the food came in. That just means someone wasn’t paying attention to we’re the orders were being placed. I was given TWO bagels with butter. Now that being said I’m giving it a 3 star because the bagel itself was good and I do like a bagel with butter. I’m just super upset, I was looking forward to the other items I ordered. I will try again hopefully the order comes out right the next time. If not I definitely will not be reordering...
