I had two separate order pick ups from this store.
The first time I went inside the store and they told me I had to go out back to pick up and just ring the doorbell.
The second time I went straight to the back, said “I’ve arrived” through the email, rang the doorbell, and stood there for a while and no one came. Tried calling the store and couldn’t get a hold of them. So, went inside the store and they said to go out back. We went out back and someone else had pulled in while we were in store to let them know we were waiting out back and the same guy we talked to in store took care of that guy first. We proceeded to wait and wait while we were taken care of afterwards.

I’m a big fan, but since cb2 never displays their entire collection in stores or keeps stock of furniture in store most of my purchases are online. The Berkeley location is a nice size but the drive from Sacramento is too far for in-store pickup effectively making it more expensive. The return policies on shipped items (that you’ve never seen) is not good. Retuning will cost you even if never opened or just took a peek. They deduct return shipping and don’t refund shipping to you. Hard to understand how non locals can realistically shop there. Read moreWhile we finally found a non busy employee to help us and we got our lamp we wanted, our initial experience in this store leaves my mouth a bit tainted. What I would assume to be the supervisor in charge.... this lady of African American decent, couldn’t be bothered to help us. I heard her ask one man to assist us but when he replied he was already with a customer, I thought maybe she’s going to find another associate to help but NOPE, she just walked away and couldn’t be found for the rest of our time in the store. What a lazy person who is in the wrong business of customer service. Management goes to bat for their employees when they are in the trenches, but clearly this one can’t be bothered.
