M&M Perrotti's Prepared Foods — Local services in Bernards Township

We moved from NYC recently and I’m a trained cook that worked throughout the food industry for years... I am BEYOND thrilled to have found M&M Perrotti’s. I cook constantly for my family of 4 and for friends, so I went into Perrotti’s for its excellent meats. I walked in and saw a fantastic selection of prepared foods and sampled 4 different dinners right off the bat because of how well prepared they looked, how nicely packaged they were, and the clear ease of preparing them with instructions printed on the labels. I have a bottomless stomach so I heated up all 4 that same night to sample and my husband, who after being married to a professional cook for almost 2 decades isn’t easily impressed, stopped after the second bite and said “where did you get this??” Nothing they make misses the mark from chicken pot pie to ravioli. Complimented the owner, Mario (the nicest), and he told me I had to have the eggplant parm. I purposefully had been waiting on that because it’s my favorite... well, I just heated it up and Mario was right - it’s THE BEST EGGPLANT PARM I HAVE EVER HAD. I actually ate half the pan and signed on to write this review. It’s that good. So incredibly tender and well-seasoned - I am cutting through multiple layers of thinly sliced eggplant with a butter knife. There’s no acrid aftertaste that some eggplant parms leave. It’s honestly perfect. I’m going to stock up on these next week because I want to be able to have it as my comfort go-to. Also as someone formerly from the food industry, I love these guys as butchers. They took such great care of me when I was looking for chicken bodies for stock. I am going to do a dry-aged ribeye for my husband and I soon. And the biggest thing - they are meticulously clean. I love to watch kitchens clean down before and after service and at close because it makes me feel confident in the food safety standards. I watched these guys go over every single surface. The finest Italian foods and meals available in this area! Their spaghetti sauce is delectable! The Eggplant rollatini a delight! Their meats are the best cuts and home made sausages delicious. I like that I can go and buy several pre-made meals of either pasta, eggplant, chicken, pork or sausage and just pop them in the oven for a ready dinner in under and hour. My husband loves their chicken chili. I was informed yesterday that the Far Hills store had re-opened since the pandemic. These guys do it right with quick, quality, helpful service. Best Italian style sub sandwich I’ve had anywhere on the east coast. It hits every time.

Also have awesome prepared foods like pasta dishes, wings, homemade meatballs and the like. And I haven’t even mentioned their prepared meats like chicken/turkey/or lamb burgers, dry aged steaks, baby back ribs, breaded pork chops.

They’re open pretty late for a deli/butcher which is nice too. Come here for a sandwich or to pick up a meal for tonight. Cannot...
