Reading Terminal Meats Inc — Local services in Berwick

We aren't sure what happened to this place, but it has gone downhill. Service was awful. Meats actually looked bad (as in discolored, dried out, and sitting in an oozy filth), and the place also smelled bad. We only went there for one item, but the staff (while not very busy at all) appeared to look too overwhelmed when we actively asked for help. It appeared they all assumed that once one person helps you, they are with you through checkout... wrong. We waited at the cash register for quite a while, with several people walking around behind the counter. Each one saw we were there waiting. One of the staff members there was packing meat for another customer, came up to the cash register and ended up scanning THEIR food ahead of ours. We'll never be back there again, and would rather spend the extra dollar for much better service at Weis markets just...

I have been a customer for years. Always a great experience until today. The cashier today waiting on me was rude as I asked for a product from the back of the case and she corrected me that I was wrong in explaining which steaks I would like to purchase and that I should have requested steaks from the front of the case. Her tone with me as she explained how I was wrong in knowing which was the front vs the back of the case for her left me feeling yelled at and embarrassed. I left without making...
