Being in the business industry, ive learned to always take good care of customers even if you are dealing with one, never lose an eye site and let the customer know that he/she are noticed. Before walking in the store i called in asking that im a Florida resident with Florida carry, and one of the armory dept salesman told me yeah dont worry just come and we will take care of you. When i walked in, the place looks amazing, but then when i went to armory sales dept, i noticed nobody is giving me their attention. I literally had to walk up to their faces in order to get noticed, some armory sale staff were giving me an attitude, and then i found out that they cannot make a sale to me because im from a different state. My mistake was instead of reading the laws i asked the guy over the phone who apparently does not know the laws well, so i was upset, i made another purchase but i was given the wrong accessory, i came back to the store and tried to get at least something to give them my business but when i asked for help again one of the salesman just swung his hand which meant to me as w.e you can wait, ive learned that if someone gives an attitude just walk out and never provide them my business again, but the cashier ladies they were sooooo sweet and very kind. Its suppose to be sweet home Alabama, if you cant be sweet and kind or smile at the paying customer then sales is not your department. Thank you have...
Read moreI have been to all the big name gun stores Hoover Tactical, The Gun Cellar, Southeastern Guns, Marks Outdoors you name it. I was looking for a specific pistol and went to Hoover Tactical which is most convenient from me. They were out of stock, and I overheard another customer saying "I don't like this place, let's go back to Simmons". So I decided to drive the 25 minutes to Bessemer to visit Simmons Sporting Goods for the first time.
Upon walking in, I wasn't sure if they would have what I wanted. I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone so was unsure. Upon walking to the gun counter, I found exactly what I was looking for. To make it even better, it was priced $50 lower than one store and $100 lower than another! All staff was friendly and respectful, did not talk down to you and treated you like you were the only one there.
Simmons had ammo in stock that no other store does, and for the best prices I have seen anywhere. I walked out with my new pistol with accessories only they had in stock, for less than I would have paid for just the pistol elsewhere.
I am loyal to some other stores, but will be going to Simmons first every time now. The most pleasurable experience I have had so far at any gun/sporting goods store.
Bottom line... while some other stores may be more convenient... Head to Simmons Sporting Goods! It's...
Read moreNice, and clean. Really cute womwn/young adult clothes which surprised me. They also carried men's clothing. All the clothes was catorigized southern. They carried anything you could need for hunting and fishing. Like guns, ammo, rod, reels bait, target for practicing. They also carried a large selection of sunglasses and gun safes, tree stands and outdoor convenience items. They also carried hunting shoes and work type boots and they carried a hefty price tag. Quite a few of their items were a little pricy, especially considering their location on the back rundown side of old downtown bessemer. I can not see paying $70 for a women's top but items on clearance I would consider. Now the staff were pleasant for the most part except for one old lady who I assume was over the female merchandise, she was sour and didn't like the fact that I had brought my 9yr old son with me.he accidentally bumped into her and she told me to remove him from the store or she would press assult charges on him. Although I had a bad experience with one lady, I will go back if ever the need stikes me for a gun, or...
