Had a great sales experience. So much so, I referred my in-laws. Then it went south for both of us. My chair broke after one month. I financed my purchase simply to build some credit. I could have paid cash. You're supposed to be able to pay online but every time I would go to pay online the payment wouldn't go through and then I would think it went through and then somebody from the store would call and tell me my payment was late and request me to pay again. The final straw was today when an employee called requesting a payment after I had been told I paid off the balance last month. I even kept a record of me paying off the balance. There is no record of my payment with standard furniture. That being said I will move on to my in-laws experience. They are elderly and in a retirement facility. The people who delivered their bed did not put the bed at the right height and left it with a bent leg posing a danger for them to use it. I had to schedule repair people to come out and fix it several times. When they never showed up or never called and I would call the store The store would tell me that the repair people knocked and knocked but no one answered. This is an overt lie because it is a communal living facility. We would have heard that the people were there to fix the bed. If you buy anything from standard furniture I recommend that you proceed with caution and I would recommend that you pay cash up front and expect it to break or be left with you in a broken condition.

In-laws also ordered two end tables online that they waited over 6 months for, when they cancelled the order, they were charged a 20% restocking fee. We will NEVER use standard...

I visited Standard Furniture in Bessemer with the intention to purchase a bedroom set. The salesperson approached me, no introduction, I immediately detected underlying racial bias, but I still tried to make it work. I did find one that I wanted to Purchase. It was a managers special priced at $2699. They were advertising interest free financing for 24 months. I considered financing until Mike Little said that a manager special is excluded from the interest free financing. I asked about purchasing for 90 days same as cash, Mike Little said I would need to pay $2000 down on 90 days same as cash. I asked about their lay away, again Mike Little said managers special can’t be bought on lay away. They were advertising buy an amount, get the same amount in free furniture. You guessed it, managers special not included. I will never set foot in another Standard Furniture. I made my Purchase at Conns, 24 months...

Ok first off I do work here. However if you seen my reviews then hey! 😎 I work here. I'm being honest and forthcoming so here goes. 😤 We rock over here. This company is always having sales and you can also order online. If you have any questions mainly dealing with the arrival of products give us a call. I know that things are slow but honesty is necessary. I'll tell you the truth and if you can wait or not I'll see what I can do and wish you the best.
