Initially loved this place, found it last year and returned this year. Last week purchased $200+ worth of flowers. I purchased 4 separate 8 packs of one type of flower, so 32 of the same flowers. I used brand new bags of Miracle Grow Moisture control potting soil and planted them in 6 separate planters along with impatiens. 10 of the 32 flowers quickly died while the others are thriving nicely. I called and the girl said they would exchange them for me and apologized. Had to remove them from planters and take them out to the nursery. The young lady wasn’t sure what to do so she enlisted the help of her manager. He told me they don’t “guarantee” their annuals only their perennials because they don’t know if they’re okay, the perennials are more established. He immediately started accusing me of planting them improperly in the wrong type of soil, I showed him the pictures I took of the other 22 flowers that are thriving in my planters and he made excuses about the impatiens that I planted do better in soils than the other ones do, to which I replied “then why are these other 22 thriving in the same planters with the impatiens and these 10 died?” He couldn’t answer that and did ultimately exchange the plants. Though more expensive, I will go back to where I used to go, where I have never...
Read moreThe staff at PGH Garden are excellent. My wife and I decided to do DIY fall flowers/decorations for our wedding. The staff at PGH Garden coached us throughout the entire process (when to buy certain items to have them ready for the wedding day, what weeks certain shipments would be in, etc.) when we visited their center on three consecutive Sundays. They took a vested interest in making sure we had everything we needed for our big day and it worked out perfectly. Not too mention, the flowers (mums), pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks, etc. were all of the best quality. I would recommend PGH Garden for all of your needs, whether...
Read moreMy hub discovered this place today as we're new to the neighborhood. What an absolute delight. So many wonderful plants to choose from. The place is really big and it was fun to stroll about and see all they had to offer. Which also includes seasonal yard decor. The staff was very friendly and chatted us up about events and special days they have there and encouraged us to find them on Facebook. Check out was a breeze and we look forward to continuing to support a local business that provides area...
