Oliver Miller Homestead — Attraction in South Park Township

Oliver Miller homestead is open for the season. This Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. I've come here several times a year. The location is beautiful, the parking is easy, the history is amazing. The volunteers explain all about the history of the Homestead, and the events of the "times", they dress in period clothing & really have all the details down 100%. I like that I am supporting this organization with my $2.00 admission fee. There are gifts, books, and, period crafts in the barn for sale. The maps and photographs are great.(also in the barn). Pack a picnic, come to the Homestead then go enjoy the renovated Cascades (water feature) right...

We had the pleasure of touring the Oliver Miller Homestead today, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The entire experience was not only educational but also incredibly engaging. This site was renovated with additional structures added. It may generate much discussion among those interested in restoration of historic places. Personally, I have conflicting thoughts about this type of restoration, so I cannot rate high or low. There are many historical reenactments associated with this site of the Whiskey Rebellion.
