Cameron Records — Local services in Billings

On my first stop in, I didn't shop too much and just picked up a couple quick buys. The guy at the counter was nice, and the vibe was friendly.

On my second trip, all was revealed to me. This place has a terrific variety - metal to jazz to country - and it is all well-organized (though I found it odd they had Jethro Tull under T) and the store is VERY clean. Of the record stores in Billings, this is the one I would choose to patronize because I feel like they care about what they sell, and there aren't random stacks of LPs piled up everywhere.

That said, there could be a little more done to clean the top-shelf vinyl before it hits the floor. If I pay $30 for something, it should already have been through the Spin-Clean (even though it will go again when I get home).

But do yourself a favor and check them out - especially the budget bins. They weren't kidding when they said there is gold down there. I think they hide it there so you'll just. keep....

What a fantastic GEM of a vinyl record store in Billings! I recently came across this store as a part of a live stream on Reddit. I reached out to the store and provided them with a 'wish list' of vinyl that I had been looking for. Five days later, numerous LP's showed up at my door in Chicago! Pricing is fair, quality is excellent for the types of music I listen to and collect. Service is nothing short of outstanding. The vinyl is cleaned well and plays flawlessly. Hey, if you're like me and not able to visit the store personally, give them a call as they are very accommodating and will check inventory for you over the phone or through email. It's just another way to support local business, albeit from a distance in Chicago! Five-stars well deserved. This store is on my TOP 3 list. ...

I’ve been going to Cameron Records for years, they always have the best selection I’ve seen in Montana. The perfect mix of older and newer vinyls and sometimes you can get lucky and find a one of a kind gem here! Prices are always great and the customer service is exemplary! I recently went in to find a specific limited edition from the 70s and they were so nice and helped look one up online and order it for me (even found another gem while looking!) if you live in Montana make this your one stop place, and if you’re visiting the state you can’t miss out on...
