I went to buy chain from the fabric section. The kind of chain that you buy by the yard. I like to make chain belts with them. So I like to measure it around my waist, so I can get a feel of how much I need and how it will lay. There were two ladies working the table. One was an older woman named Tracy and the other one I assume was training. The spool still had plastic wrap around it. So I asked one of the workers if I could take the plastic off so I could measure how much I needed. She told me ânoâ that you have to buy the entire spool. I tried to explain to her that you purchase it by the yard. She went to up to the woman name Tracy, and was told that you indeed buy it by the yard. They took the spool away from and gave me a tape measurer. Tracy then turned to her coworker and said âno one buys this stuff, itâs nasty stuffâ. I asked if I could please have the spool back, because I like to measure it around my waist. Tracy then rudely said to me âWhat you donât know how to use a tape measurerâ? I explained my reasons, and then she gave it back to me, but made a show of...
Read moreEmployees are unlikely to help. I have experienced this several times. They walk right by, if they're stocking shelves that is the most important part of their jobs. I had to stand and wait for one employee to finish arranging paint bottles so I could find the paint I was trying to find. Her cart was in the isle, she never made an attempt to move it or ask if she could help. Totally ignored me. I finally had to ask if the cart was hers, she said yes but never stopped her task to move the cart. I asked if she worked at Hobby she said yes and continued her arranging. Another employee is Terry L. She must be head of service or maybe she owns the store,I DO, but she could break glass with her attitude, pointing and directing other employee's, but doesn't help if she can help it. Standing in line behind 15 other ppl 2 check outs, she is standing there, why not jump in with another cash register and help shorten the waiting line. I thought Hobby Lobby was Christian owned business, if so run it like your working for Jesus and not the...
Read moreI used to love Hobby Lobby. I used to go there all of the time. Until I went there, searched and searched (with very little help, even though I inquired) for the right blue rocks for my fairy garden project. I found the right ones, but when I got to the register, I completely forgot my wallet in my car. I was so embarrassed! I vehemently implored upon the cashier to please hold onto to the rocks for only a few mere seconds while I raced out to my car to get the $5. Now, I thought that since this was a CHRISTIAN organization, she would have trusted me, but she didnât. She immediately told another employee to put my diligently found stones away while I dashed to my vehicle. I returned dumbfounded at this travesty. Since they were already put away, I had to go find a new bag. She didnât seem to think that anything was wrong with this complete lack of customer service and rudeness. Well, itâs not ok to treat anyone like that. Thanks Hobby Lobby, but next time I guess Iâll try Michaelâs. Maybe they will care about...
