Village Inn Pizza — Restaurant in Billings

Super frustrating to get a phone order in! All of the other recent 1 star reviews hit the nail on the head in regards to how frustrating it is to get an order in, took me about an half hour of spamming their phone number to finally have a person on the other end.

So then I put in an order, get told my order will be ready in 45 minutes, that's fine. Given how often I know pizza joints usually finish up orders earlier than they estimate to you I decide to leave early, about 20 minutes after I place the order.

On my 12 minute commute there, turns out I was right, as the ToastHub text notification system then texts me about when I'm about 5 minutes away from the restaurant saying my pizza is ready! Sounds all good to me, get into the drive through, pick up my pizza, head home, then find out the pizza is completely Luke warm.... super frustrating due to me being there within 5 minutes of being told my pizza was ready!

And to be honest, 22$ for a 14" pizza is super expensive in my opinion, and it was honestly not all that much better then any of the national pizza chains (barely any cheese on my pizza!). Wouldn't order...

It's been my local place since I was a kid. There's not much service to speak of and they charge for refills, but I can't deny that I absolutely love their pizza. They have a popular lunch buffet, but I can't recommend. It includes a salad bar, side things like chicken nuggets and potato wedges, and they usually put out four pizzas. The side items are never very good. It seems like they oven bake things like chicken nuggets instead of frying them and they're often burnt on one side. The four pizza selections are always odd to me and I can never find any pizza with a good topping combination. Aside from all that negativity, go order a pizza for yourself, put that parm and chili flakes on, and enjoy some of the best pizza...

Pizza was excellent, but this restaurant has no full service; order and pay at the counter and don't expect anything additional. I highly recommend ordering water to drink as additional charges ensue for refills. Keep this in mind if you're considering leaving a gratuity when paying for your order. I saw two couples with children enter, sit down and leave 15 minutes later having no idea how the system works. Not sure why management has no sign on display to this effect. If you can get past this, the food is good and they have an excellent salad bar. A vegetarian would fair well here as the quality of the salad...
