I have been a customer for more than 3yrs from DC to current location. on 7/12/19 I visited this store to get a box to pork ribs and some Beef. After almost 2hours of wait(I mean 2 hours no exaggeration) Mr. Patrick(if that's his name) an older worker was cutting my beef while I await them to being my box of ribs. In annoyance he stated if the ribs dosen't come he will leave my order to go and eat. He was so fustrated as I was cus they took forever to even bring the ribs. Then I had to plead with him as it's not my fault that they(worker's) haven't brought my box of ribs.
As he continued to grumble, I pleaded that he go ahead and cut the order of the person after me while we await my ribs. Even other customers bought my case and begged him to excercise patients as I am just a customer, I cannot go grab a box from their cooler my self. The way he was looking at me like it's my fault. Customers around me were even trying to find a way to help. I was just there trying to beg Papi who is another worker to please help me get the box or ribs.
Then the ribs came through. He did a great job cutting it. Then he asked if I needed in the the box and I said yes. He asked if I needed help, I hesitated to answer as I wanted to weigh the box if its something I can handle. Then I said yes, ohh lord! Patrick was so angry started saying he just asked if I needed help blah blah blah. In peace I told him not to worry I gat it. I had $3 tips folder which i handed to him in good faith, but since he was still ranting about my hesitation to accept help, in the mist of a long line of customers, he looked at me and refused my tips. I felt so embarrassed, I tried to give him again he said "no! Am very fine" . As embarrassed as I was, I didnt say another word, I just picked up the box and walked out of the store.
My point here is, this man has continously exhibited an extremely poor customer service right from DC to now Landover. Some people don't know how their negativity affects peoples businesses. Thank God he is not the owner of this business as the owner is a very nice and calm person with great smile and customer friendly. This Patrick of a guy would never touch my meat EVER! If I ever return to that store. I would rather take it home and cut it my self, his attitude is disgusting and to even think this day is not the first time.

Read moreFirst time discovering this meat market people have told me about way too much. It was time for me to check it with my own eyes. It is packed with products inside. If you are if African descent, South America, this store is going to make you feel at home. Prices are good and many choices from hard chicken, goat, lamb, fish, beef meats, you are served if you like these. Now 3 things, the service can be slow when packed as they have only 1 cashier which is regrettable. Parking is Hard to get, employees are nice. Will come back. Hi again, so I went back in and we are in March 2022. They have made some changes, there is 2nd cashier, freezers are updated, newer, there more cameras 📷 in the store, lot more cleaner too. Depending on the time and day you come in, you may or may not have to wait in line. Oh yes they expanded the place a bit. Still room to grow but I like the place and will be coming back for my needs. We are August 4th, 23 and as I have said before, they have to keep an eye on cleaning around the freezers that are away from cashiers, it is very important. Read moreI’ve been shopping at the store for some time now, and I think it’s a decent place price and variety wise. However, in recent times, I have noticed that the honey beans I buy, which is the TTC brand smells and tastes like sniper. I don’t know if it’s the store using sniper or whatever chemical to present weevils or it’s from the supplier, but we’ll rather eat weevils than deal with the long term health implications. I know what I’m saying because I’ve been shopping there at least biweekly for the past 3 years and this is the second time I’m noticing this.
