The Stop & Shop Pharmacy Department is extraordinary and awesome. They are beyond compare with a majority of other pharmacies in the area. The prices are reasonable. The biggest difference that I noticed right away, is that Stop & Shop always has all of my family's and my medications in stock and never expired. They will council and comfort you if necessary. Each employee and the pharmacists (especially Phil) do not rush you and will make sure you completely understand how to use your prescriptions safely and efficiently. Thank you Pharmacy!
The amount of mouthy & rude store staff is overwhelming. Passing the buck is popular at this store as well. The registers run in two speeds... "reverse & stop". The week after New Years, It took me 28 minutes to get through a cashier assisted lane. I only had 5 items. The delay was caused by the lazy training of cashiers.
Don't forget the intense text message conversation that this cashier intensely focused on during her 2 hours running the lane.
The prevalence of mismarked products is extraordinary. Plus the return rules have been modified.
The plain clothes security team makes customers uncomfortable with their big black and beady eyes. An example of the simple & dumb mistakes is what follows: They are always following the wrong people. I witnessed 4 plain clothes Stop & Shop security staff directly cause a loud scene while having no regard to the little 5 year old boy holding hands with his father and started to cry profusely which included curdling screams and hyperventilating. laying the foundation for PTSD to surface 20 years later in this kid.
The simple mistake that I witnessed was that the Pop-Tarts Pastries (which the man's son pulled out of the bag quickly to eat while waiting). The register receipt clearly stated KELLOGS PT. The PT means Pop-Tarts.
Obviously the intelligence level of these skinny want to be police is never going to get better. It wasn't until the uniformed Clifton officers intervened 30 minutes later that it was determined that the Pop Tarts were not stolen. Except for the pharmacy department, this store is beginning to look like Wal-Mart...
Read moreThe reason I decided to post a review ', is because I don't feel the same about this store, I continue to shop here, because it is my neighborhood supermarket, however, whenever I can shop somewhere else I do. Now my review is not based on products or rude cashiers, because after 19 years of shopping here and spending thousands of dollars annually, I've never experienced that. My review is solely based on my experience with customer service or customer concern or care. No, Noone was rude, just lack of empathyand not by everyone, just by senior management. About a month ago, I left my wallet in a cart, after 2 hours of me realizing I went back to the supermarket to inquire, I had hope since Noone attempted to use my cards, the asset. Manager on duty that night was awesome, she also gave me hope. After that night hope seemed to fade when my attempts to get management to view their security cameras, just to determine if my wallet left the store, thats all I needed for closure. Now to be clear, I am not blaming the store for me leaving my wallet behind, I am, however disappointed with no communication from them to this matter, no concern for their patron, no empathy. I am a Healthcare provider and an educator, if i cant afford to lack empathy for my patients and students, it would and could be detrimental to their healing or learning, intry my best to go above and beyond for all who come in contact with me.
Again, I am not attacking your store, I just would've appreciated a phone call from someone, whether you viewed the camera or...
Read moreMy specific complaint is the deli . More specifically “MR.LEE” now I know he’s been here for years because I’ve lived and shopped at this location for years . However every single time I come to get cold cuts and get stuck with mr. Lee he is always in some kind of bad mood, always mad at how I want my meat cut, all I ask is for it sliced very thin because it’s the only way I can eat cold cuts . Any other person I get to cut my cold cuts never give an issue , they serve with a smile, and are kind. And I’m kind, I always smile ask politely, and always tell whoever helps me thank you and have a great day. Simple customer service that I extend to employees , I can understand working customer service can be demanding and at times even annoying . However there is no excuse that every-time I come and have Mr. Lee to help me he always makes me feel like I’m bothering him and I’m asking too much of him. I don’t want him to lose a job or anything but maybe have him work without customers or give him help back there . It doesn’t hurt to be nice or smile . Work is work no one likes it but please been mindful you are at work and you shouldn’t make ppl feel like crap for asking for something they themselves can’t do at the store. Sorry Mr. Lee I’m sure you are a wonderful guy but today I had enough of the gloomy attitude, I hope...
