Kroger — Local services in Bloomington

Neidra is absolutely amazing!! She sets examples for her employees to smile and be friendly. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet her today and she saw me looking for something and immediately asked if I needed help and was going to even take me to the aisle. She's a great addition as the Team Leader, just exactly what the store needed is someone that gets right in and does what they ask of their employees! Love this Kroger, alot of savings on many items, especially meat. Update: Today the young man working at the self checkout was Trenton, absolutely a wonderful fit! He is so helpful and doesn't make you feel like you're a bother when you mess up either! It's so nice to see a young man working and being so helpful to customers. You should absolutely keep this young man and give him recognition!! There's only 1 I ever have an issue with and I realize he is disabled but he is so very rude to customers and tells you to get out of his way when he has plenty of room to walk, just not a nice person at all and when he sees your light he asks, why do you need help?? 🤷 I'm also disabled but I treat others the way I want to be treated, everyone is different I guess. No one wants to be yelled at and told rudely to get out of the way when you know it's coming and you're completely...

This particular Kroger has long been known, in Bloomington-Normal as "Ghetto Kroger". It gained this nick-name for several reasons... and it was somewhat true. The store was showing its age, and there was an armed guard located near the exit on a full-time basis... Heck, even the carts had a special "boot" that was designed to keep them from being removed from the parking lot area.

All that has changed, though. The store was remodeled, in the past year. Some work is even continuing inside the store. Selection has always been great at this Kroger, and the prices are a little lower than other stores in town. Staff is courteous, and their service is exceptional. The store is still known as "Ghetto Kroger", but it is no longer an accurate description. Instead, it's a light-hearted throw back that allows Bloomingtonians and Normalites to differentiate this Kroger from the other...

Feb 2023 Employees here incompetent!!! Why have western union if everyone not cross trained to do it , lady says she don’t know how to do it or have keys to get back there!!! Western unión remove yourself from here no POINT!!! I’m on empty need to pick up money for gas ⛽️ but dumb employees or just play dumb because they don’t want to do it makes no sense!!!
