The toilet in the women's restroom was broken, so it didn't flush properly, they need to replace the flapper and probably the handle as both were sticking when I checked it out trying to get it to flush and stop running. The restroom was ice cold, which may have been a nice reprieve in 90 degree summer heat and humidity, but in the dead of winter c'mon! It was miserable. The faucet taps were like a melted glacier and never did warm up, yes I'm a full 20-30 second hand scrubber especially after futzing with your toilet, so that was pleasant. And then to to my restroom experience off the paper towel dispenser, one that you must use either your elbow, as suggested, or hand, to dispense was mounted above my head on the mirror above the sink. Even without my wheelchair I'm only about 5 feet tall, let alone have poor balance and an inability it stand on my toes. WHY DID I JUST SPEND 20-30 SECOND SCRUBBING MY HANDS TO HAVE TO DO YOGA TO TOUCH A DIRTY PAPER TOWEL DISPENSER WITH THEM?
Speaking of dirty hands, the woman behind the counter took her break while we were sitting down eating, and appeared to be the only person on shift at that point. Right as she was finishing her basket of bacon strips and beverage, a new customer walked in to order. She went behind the counter, NEVER WASHED HER HANDS OUR APPEARED TO USE HAND SANITIZER, put on gloves then made his order. While it could have been worse like her coming from the restroom, she was eating with her hands right before he walked in and should have thoroughly washed and dried them in the employee sink behind the counter.
Food was fine, but employee attitude, other behaviour such as chatting with friends while on shift across the counter, and the hygiene issue...
Read moreSo, I don't eat subway very often. Once or twice a month. Which makes the fact these issues keep happening worse given they always seem to occur. Always ordered though app for pickup. This is the closest location to me but will ultimately go elsewhere now.
Sandwiches are never toasted correctly. Always underdone or not toasted at all. Ownership changes in last 6-8 months maybe? They always seem upset when you use the rewards or coupons. I don't really understand this one given it's right there in the app. No doubt margins are thin but they can opt out. The 1399FL code is what I use most often. The biggest issue is, they skimp on meats and cheeses. I don't mean like, a piece here or there. But I have ordered their premium sandwich, like the Turkey titan, that is supposed to have extra meat and low and behold it's just a plain turkey every time.
It's a bummer over all. The location is convenient seems clean and organized. I can empathize this must be a tough gig. And mistakes happen. Not the end of the world. But it's clear these are systemic choices made...
Read moreBeen living in Bloomington for 2 year almost, this is the only subway I go to. Well, it use to be a wide variety of workers from different backgrounds. Now, there is only middle eastern or Indian workers and the service is always crap, but the food is good. I never get my veggies toasted, today I place an order online requesting a toasted sandwich because it asks you, but not the veggies. I went in before they toasted it and the worker lady ignored my comment when I mentioned my sandwich isn't supposed to have toasted veggies. After 5 minutes of yelling at me, she called her boss and then he asked what the issue was. When I started to speak he interrupted and say the receipt says toasted. I'm clearly aware of that I marked toasted but not the dang veggies. I just gave up. I told her to make the sandwich however she saw fit and left. The service is crap man, it's the worst. They fired all the workers and now it's a weird cult like Dunkin and I will never eat an another subway that doesn't have a single American worker. I'm so...
