Ordered take out for myself and my 10 year old tonight as I currently have pneumonia. When I ordered(2 steak plates, 1 corn dip&chips, 2 desserts) I was told the total would be $93.69 and it would take 20-25 minutes. When we arrived at the restaurant I sent my son in to pick up with $100 cash. He waited at the front counter for the server, she got the name and went to the kitchen to get the food. When she came back she gave him the total and he gave her 5, $20bills. She stuck it in her apron pocket and gave him $6 back. Not only is $100 outrageously expensive for 2 people but then your server decided to short my child on his change because she didn't feel like walking back to the register(wherever that is since its obviously not at the front). Had I not been sick and trying to be responsible I would have went back in myself to get the rest of my change but I guess this is my other viable option. We made it back home and opened our food to find the steaks were improperly cooked(they got it backwards and cooked my sons steak medium and mine medium well); the sides had to be redistributed between the containers EVENLY; and the top of the creme brulee was soft. Needless to say this will likely be my last visit to Fuego, especially if I can't go in myself to pick up. A big thank you to "Maria G" for keeping my $0.31 as an assumed tip in this already unforgivable economy, and a big thank you to the kitchen staff for caring so little about your job that you can't be bothered to read a ticket or even out portions. Due to your lack of thought I had to touch EVERYONES food anyway which is what I was trying to avoid by getting take out in the first place. I live in Holly Pond so I drove to receive this excellent service. Definitely an experience I won't soon forget.
Note for management: I worked in food service for over 10 years so I get it if the restaurant is super busy; things happen. This was a Wednesday night and there were 2 tables and a customer sitting at the bar. Clearly something is lacking for...
Read moreWe sat down and ordered drinks, but the margaritas took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. The Classic Margarita was very sour and didnât taste good. When it came time to order, my uncle told the waitress, âUs two will be on a ticket,â but she responded that everything would be split at the end. (Talking about my aunt and him) When our food came out, everyone received their meals except my parents. The waitress explained that their order was accidentally left off because it was listed on the second page and not rung into the kitchen. She apologized and offered them a free dessert. Unfortunately, this mistake meant my parents werenât able to eat with the rest of us. As for the food itself, the steak was good, but the baked potato was hard. Once everyone finally finished eating, we realized the waitress never brought the check, we had to specifically ask for it. When the checks finally came, they were incorrect. My entrĂ©e was listed on someone elseâs bill, while another personâs entrĂ©e appeared on mine. Although that was corrected, my sisterâs ticket was still wrong because she was charged for an extra soda. If splitting the checks at the end was going to cause so many issues, it would have been much easier for the waitress to separate them at the beginning as requested. Overall, this is easily one of the worst places my family and I had...
Read moreMy buddies and me were coming through on our way back to Hueytown from Guntersville. We were starving, saw this little "hole-in-the-wall" steakhouse, and decided why not. At this point food was food, lol! WE WERE NOT LET DOWN!!! Two of us had burgers, and one had chicken fingers. Buddy said the fingers and fries were good, but let me tell you hwat (you know I'm serious because I put the h before the w)! Me and the other buddy had the Fuego Burger......OMG....Hands down the best burger I've ever had. Making my mouth water just typing this up! It has this habanero bacon jam on it that is the perfectest amount of spicy, smoky, savory and sweet. Spicy enough to bite, thanks tothe habanero, but not too spicy for the sissies. The bacon combined with the peppery flavor gives it this smoky savory flavor. Add to that the sweetness of the jam itself, and it's a mouth party (that's like a house party, but toothy and wet)! Also, there's was a band in there called the Soulflies (Soul Flies? Not sure if thats a Soulfly reference...), playing covers. They were good. Female vocalist was a nice spin to a few of my favorite alt rock songs. All in all, we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend everyone at least goes to give it a try. I'll be going back, for sure. Also, If you don't go try it, I'm pretty sure you hate...
