This place...this place....there's magic here. I can't emphasize the aura of the owner, Josh, enough. He has a hold on this town and is loved by all. The pure goodness if this man cones out in his cooking. This man gets no sleep because he smokes his meat every single night. I had pulled pork which was some of the best I've ever had. The mac and cheese, made by Ms. Olivia, CANNOT be overlooked. But let's talk about the turnip greens: the taste is i describable. What this man does to those turnip greens should probably be prayed over in church because I believe he made a deal with the devil to get them to taste that good. I woukd go there just for them. His special that day was smoked turkey and he let me have a sample. If you like smoked turkey sandwiches, you need to come here on thursday. I was there a couple of hours and customer after customer came in ordering the smoked turkey sandwich. He has a smoker going on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. He's about to build an outdoor stage next door for live music. Let me tell you, Josh is starting something magical and I am so glad that I get to witness it. Do yourself and your family a favor, make the drive to beautiful Blountsville, and experience this little piece of small town country heaven...

I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt that they have earned/deserved it.

I was raised on old style BBQ. Something that is becoming exceedingly rarer to find these days. The pork sandwich I had took me back to the old days of my grandfather getting BBQ with me in West Tennessee. It was perfectly done. The sauce and coleslaw was a nice touch, but in my mind, didn't even need it.

I also had a side of Turnip Greens. Turnip Greens are easy to make and you don't expect much from them. However, I would have to say these are the second best Turnip Greens I have ever had. I only say they are second because if the women folk in my life found out I like someone else Greens more than theirs, then my soul would not be long for this world.

Being s small business owner myself I know how much hard work it takes to keep a business going, and these good people have done a grand job.

I only wish I had tried their food sooner and that I passed thru more than 4-6 times a year. Keep it up and God...

We traveled up to visit the ava maria grotto and the most blessed sacrament cathedral. I ordered q pulled chicken sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. It was grilled chicken not pulled but I wasn't informed of this. It was good quality chicken but there was a hard cartilage/clump in it I couldn't eat. The BBQ sauce was fine. The Mac and cheese was above average and I added a little salt and pepper to it. They were out of kielbasa (polish sausage) and potato salad which were two things my bf wanted...but he ordered a chicken sandwich with baked beans and coleslaw. The coleslaw was a little watery but had very good quality ingredients. The baked beans were alright but I expected a sweet or spicy taste to them not more so plain. They have a nice outdoor seating area and nice staff as well. So it is a decent place but not super scrumptious. Worth a stop by for a quick bite. It is affordable as well and has...
