Initially took my car to the Blue Springs Ford mechanic shop due to hearing grinding in one of my tires. When they looked everything over, they found I needed a bearing replaced on my right front tire along with multiple other things, ultimately charging me $7k to fix everything. Since the damages were caused from a collision of me hitting the curb in the ice storm, I found insurance could cover it all. The shop then said when insurance takes over, they no longer fix the damage, it would have to be the collision shop. Ok, great, so they send my car to the collision shop. Then we get insurance involved. Had to wait for insurance to do their appraisal which took a week. That part has nothing to do with Blue Springs Ford. It gets appraised, insurance sends me the receipt of what they paid. Thatās when I realize they fixed the right rear tire. When the damage was the right front tire. They also didnāt include the other things that needed to be fixed. I call the collision shop and getting it worked out. Insurance comes back to appraise again. The collisions shop fixes the damage. They give me a call saying everything went well until they took my car for a ride and realized my right front tire bearings needed to be replaced! Which was the biggest thing needing replaced to begin with! So insurance came out again to appraise that. Finally getting my car fixed and back after 35 days. When I talk to the the guy at the collision shop, I guess the people at the mechanic shop didnāt tell him everything that needed to be fixed. In other words, they do NOT communicate with each other even if in same company. I assumed they did since the guy at the collision shop never asked what needed to be fixed with my car. And for some reason thought it was the right rear when I brought it in for the right front tire. On top of all this, I would wait to get a call for an update on my vehicle. I finally call them and they said they talked to my husband. I guess they called a number they had on file from years ago that had my EX husbands phone number. Mind you I have been in contact with them and left multiple voicemails with MY phone number, so he pretty much called my ex and told him everything that was going on with my car without my permission. When I told him that was not ok, he said pretty...

I had an unfortunate incident where my garage door malfunctioned and fell on my vehicle. I had several friends tell me to go to different shops because they "knew someone that would give me a good deal". I didn't feel these were good deals.
I stopped in Blue Springs Collision Repair and talked to Joe, and he was always straight up with me. Set the correct expectations and even beat all the other shops in price--by a lot.
I was nervous at first because my car is a new Mercedes and I didn't know what to expect. Joe assured me they could handle this without a hitch, and he was right.
When I pulled up to the shop I saw my car parked out front and it looked even more beautiful than when I first found purchased it. Not only did he fix the damage, he had it detailed for me and it was in perfect condition. I couldn't believe how amazing it looked. He went over it with me and explained everything he did, and let me know he will warranty all of his work as long as I own the car.
Overall this is probably one of the best vehicle repair experiences I've ever had. Joe is 100% genuine, nothing fake about him. He tells it how it is and makes you feel comfortable the entire way. He knows these are stressful situations for people and it's obvious that over the years he has mastered how to handle these situations. You can tell he's not all about the money, he's all about taking care of his customers and building a loyal customer base.
If you're reading this and you are on the fence about what body shop to choose, just pick this one. Trust me.
Everyone always wishes they "Knew someone in the car repair industry". Now I know I have that person in Joe.
Thanks again JOE! You have my business for life.
Edit: this original review was 4 years ago. I've used Joe 2 more times since this and recommended others. I wish I could...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe total experience with Blue Springs Collision Repair was top notch! I went here because they were recommended by a friend who had a positive experience. Joe and Jack are easy to work with, friendly and knowledgeable. My repair was going through my insurance and I do not have much experience with collisions, (thank goodness), but I received a great explanation of the process from Joe.
Dropping the car off for repair was easy as they have an key drop box. They had my car on Monday and it was done the following Monday. I felt this was a very reasonable turn-around time. Man, when I picked up my car and saw it, I was not sure if it was my car because it looked so good! Not only was the repair done to perfection, but other things had been done which I did not expect. The car was cleaned, inside and out, and waxed! I needed one of my headlight assemblies replaced during the repair and was expecting to replace the other on my own dime so it would match the new one, but to my amazement they had polished the old headlight so it looked like new! They also attached a loose body trim panel which I had been dealing with for some time. This was not associated with the repair and was even on the other side of the car than the repair. I would say that the "chain" collision repair shops would not have given this any consideration, so I look at it as going above and beyond! Actually, the repair and the service was all above and beyond.
I would recommend Blue Springs Collision Repair to anyone I know. I would go back in a heart beat but, knock on wood, I will not need any body work in the future :-) Thank you to Joe...
