
Went into the establishment this evening just wanted to check things out, considering I had been signed up since MARCH 29TH! Kept getting different dates for opening. Which was cool for the first 3 times. Go into the presale store signing all papers getting my cool little black card, was told about a $40.00 charge coming out on July 1st which was cool. But when asked when does the monthly fee start was told by an employee that it wont start until July. Ok I was fine with that too. But then I go in this evening and asked for the manager, for he had told me to do so.... And stood there for a little while which was fine, and asked him about monthly fees and whatnot and get told I owed a balance the first time I came in to workout. What!! Wait a min I was told July! Manger then told me that I misunderstood his employee cause he knew what he said. Hmmmm I have worked in retail most of my working years and the Golden Rule was ALWAYS.... The customer is always right! Even when they aren't. I went back looking at my papers I signed and everything stated no payment was due until July. So heres my end for this rant, I am all about getting in shape, but NOT at the expense of someone talking down to you and as you walk away still talking loudly thinking he embarrassed me! I would rather go pay twice as much at the local community center where they DO offer exercise classes, plus have a heated pool! If you can handle somone being rude and obnoxious go for it Planet Fitness is the place for you... But I WOULDNT GO BACK IF IT WAS COMPLETLY...
Read moreI signed up in March under the agreement that I am paying an initiation fee of $50 plus my monthly bill. A little before the pandemic started. I moved out of state after May; when this particular location opened back up. I made sure to call and have my account frozen. On July 17, I was charged and still have yet to receive a refund. I spoke to Billie and Micheal on the phone. Both have said that I will get my money back within a week. It has been 3 weeks. On top of that, when I called today, I was told I would get it back within 7-14 days. And on top of that as well, I was charged AGAIN on August 3, $40. I thought my account was frozen due to me being in a state where the gyms are NOT ALLOWED to open. I spoke to Billie last on August 4th; she failed to mention that I was ALSO CHARGED ON THE 3RD OF AUGUST. I should stay on top of my account because they keep draining my money out and not giving it back. I AM NOT EVEN IN THAT STATE NOR HAVE I BEEN TO A GYM SINCE MARCH. I want to close my account but afraid I will not get a refund for any of the money they took. I am a recent college graduate. So guess what? I HAVE LITTLE TO NO INCOME. I will surely remember this company and NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. I have been an avid gym enthusiast for years. Never will I ever look at a planet fitness again. We are in the middle of a pandemic and this is how they treat their clients, and at that, young clients who already are struggling in...
Read moreNot a traveler friendly location!! *CONTEXT: My partner & I travel full time for work, we use different facilities across the country very regularly to work out but more often then not to shower in between stops. * I've heard stories but never experienced it myself until tonight where the attendant deliberately turned the hot water off while I was showering, assumingly to rush me out(after about 10 minutes in the shower).. I make a point to cleanup after myself everywhere we go as to not inconvenience whoever is working when I'm there to clean up after me. Having to shower at the gym is not ideal or something I particularly enjoy & it really sucks to know that whoever was on shift would go put of there way to make me uncomfortable assuming I'm homeless. I wanted to talk to someone as I was leaving the gym & stood at the counter for more the a few minutes without finding a single person working. Never saw anyone the whole time I was there besides someone angry cleanimg the bathroom while I was in shower. I'm rambling at this point but this kind of this really upsets me when this place is a incredibly important piece of everdau life for traveling workers. We deserve as much respect as anyone else frequenting...
