These guys have quality shirts. That's the short answer, the long answer is that small companies that you see popping up can either be good or bad. There is no middle ground when it comes to clothing companies, you either love it or you hate the product. 80eighty chooses a good quality base shirt to print their branding on, the high quality "Next Level" base shirt that's made of 60% cotton 40% polyester feels great. Yes the shirt isn't made in America but with the way things are in the industry you'd have to pay a big markup for that so no complaints here. They associate with the car culture so they know their audience and what to put on their shirts. They have a small number of shirts available to men and women (usually in the high tens for men shirts, and low singles for women shirts) but that doesn't mean much. They rotate through different designs monthly. I bought my clothing a few months back and I see a whole different lineup for men. This means there is always a fresh inventory. I cannot say anything for the women's clothing. The shipping is fast and the email services updates you on your shipment each step of the way. The company also sells car themed accessories range from coil over key chains to the not so car themed iPhone screen protectors which I won't cover since most stores sell accessories cheap or high quality. Then there is the Vidi action camera they sell, this camera is one of the thousand cheap off brand alternative to the GoPro's and Sony Action cameras. I'm assuming they have a sponsorship to sell them or they just attest to them since it sticks out in the website. This camera can be found online easily for $60.00 new and even at the Vidi website for $100.00 so it's kind of disappointing they marked it up to $150.00 and even have a cheap camera like that on their website. The shirts are great and I love the feel and style of the fitting. They have great looking stickers and hats. The accessories will complement any wrist or key chain but that cheap action camera they sell at a high markup takes away from their online store and takes my review from a five to a 4 stars. Fix that price or take the camera off and you'll have your five stars and a better looking...
Read moreSadly I ended up paying $226 CAD for the black heart cars jacket shipped, only to find another $28 surcharge from ups upon arrival, and to find it's quality seems less than half that of my carhartt, although 160usd before shipping is actually more expensive. Also, there's no custom embroidery patch saying most comfortable jacket youll own, and the price of the jacket from the supplier is literally slightly less than half the cost. So I got a jacket marked up more than double in price , that was barely worth the original cost at 70 all because there's a tiny 80eighty patch in the bottom corner added after the fact. I admit I only purchased through the store to be entered into the draw for the cars. However that being said at the cost and quality I'll have to politely decline any further purchases or money invested into their company. Can't afford to be spending more and getting less. That could've been car part money!!!!
Edit** After their management reached out to me in response to my review, I spoke to them about my frustrations and they worked with me to make things right and clear them up! They sent me some additional items to make up for things, and they're great! I'll gladly rep their brand and products anytime! Thank you for taking the time to make things right and make me another happy customer! Here's to winning the lambo and entering the next one if...
Read moreThere’s a guy, Josh Martine (I’m sure a fake name, but the name on his page) pretending to be eighty80. He called me and said we won the car and the $60K but that we needed to pay the “stamp of approval” from the IRS first before we could come and pick up the car. Initially he asked for $2,211.58 and when I said we didn’t have that kind of money he asked if we had any amount of money we could give, so I added my son to the phone call and when my son started questioning him about the money and car he got quiet and when I said I knew that it was a scam he hung up the phone. I didn’t check his fb page until after our call was disconnected, but when I did, I noticed he only had two friends and 3 posts, but his profile picture is the eighty80 picture just like on the real eighty80 page. Beware of this guy! He’s sneaky and has his lines down pretty good. Fortunately, I watch A LOT of scam videos on YouTube so I knew something about it wasn’t right. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up! BE SAFE OUT THERE, and thank you to eighty80 for everything you do for people with the best intentions...
