WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! SCAM. Over charged and will not refund!
UPDATE: Quickly after posting this review, the manager reached out to discuss the issue with me. After going through the events with her, that I had already told every other representative that I called and spoke to, "that they did not lay down fertilizer for the amount of times i was charged", she apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded me the two wrong charges. While she was polite and friendly on the phone, I wish it did not take this level of escalation to get a clear mistake corrected!
Please read other reviews about being charged for "free" repeat service. I was also charged for two "free" services, with them stating they applied fertilizer during them and that is what I am being charged for. I was told when signing that there were 3 fertilizer applications (spring, summer & fall) and that I had already missed the first application. They charged me for 3 fertilizers from June 2nd to July 11th.
First service was $74 for fertilizer and weed control. There were spots that were missed for weed control so we called for a second application which we were told would be free. After the person finished he said our weeds needed one more free application that he would schedule and I confirmed twice that it would be free and that todays visit was free. After he left, I received an email with a bill. I called multiple times requesting a refund and was told by each person it would be sent to management and I would hear back. I never once heard back.
They came for the second "free" application and I spoke with the person doing the application about the issue and he said he sees where it should have been free but that the tech put down that he applied fertilizer as well so that was why we were charged. Which could not be the case because that 1st free application person was not here long enough and did not go in with fertilizer, he only did a spot treatment. This new person then assured me he would look into this and get it corrected and I would hear back. I received yet another bill in my email for that service as well!
I never heard back and then had to call in again to request cancelation and refund and to speak with a manager. I was again assured I would hear from a manager that day on the number I provided. I did not hear from anyone until the next day at 5:41 pm to the wrong number, which we missed and was left a voicemail stating that our weed control was free but we were being charged appropriately for fertilizer each time and that I could call her back at their generic number. Since they were already after closing hours I could not get in contact with her. I still have not heard back again and they refuse to refund me for fertilizer that we did not get. I have also not received confirmation of my first or second attempt to cancel. When I called in again, I was told our account was marked for cancelation and a manager was busy and an email would need to be sent to request they call me back.    Read moreI had these guys for about 2 years. In the first year, they were great. My lawn started bouncing back, and I had to mow a lot. This last year, their service went down hill, I noticed my grass was dying in the middle of the lawn. The grass wasn't really growing fast like the previous year. When I talked with the guy who came out to spray, he asked how much I watered and then said I was watering the grass too much. This last time when I watched the guy, he just sprayed the outside edges he didn't get the center of my lawn. Which I have video of. When I called in, I talked to a lady who said that was a parameter spray. I mentioned to her that her explanation seemed fishy and that i shouldn't have to pay for that service, she said it was apart of my plan. I said then i wanted to cancel. I received a call from one of their representatives a week later asking why I was canceling my service with them. I explained, and he looked it up and said they don't have that service. They explain if the lawn isn't doing better after their treatment to call them back and they will do another spray. I shouldn't have to do that because if they did their job right the first time, then there won't be a need to call them back. My recommendation is if you have these guys and you notice your grass starts to die, call them again to spray or cancel...
   Read more*Update- A service manager came to our home the day following this review. They offered to provide an additional application to address the weed issue. Chase was courteous and professional. This was a stark contrast to the previous encounter. After speaking with Chase, we will continue to use Weed Man. -I've used Weed Man for several years and at multiple homes. We had been very happy with the service until recently. We are finding weeds growing around the perimeter and through the park strips in front of our home. It is appearant these areas just aren't getting the same level of application the main yard is. I called customer service to discuss the issue. I was told that the weeds are surfacing due to the time of year it is (middle of summer) and they would not re-treat the area unless I paid an additional fee (approximately $68). I rejected her reasoning as we have been customers for years and this is the first time we've ever had an issue. After a bit of back and forth, I was told by the representative that I wasn't listening to her and that I was being difficult. Our first problem and first interaction with their service team, and I'm ready to end our relationship with weed man and take our business elsewhere.
