As someone completely new to MMA, I was a little nervous walking into a gym like this for the first time. I came in hoping to get in better shape and maybe meet some new friends—and Xcite MMA exceeded every expectation I had. From day one, the vibe here has been nothing but positive and welcoming. No egos, no intimidation—just an amazing group of people who genuinely love the sport and want to help others grow.
The coach is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but he's also down-to-earth and incredibly approachable. Whether you're brand new like me or have some background in martial arts, you'll feel seen, supported, and challenged. The training is intense but manageable, and they do a phenomenal job of balancing technique/skillset, fitness, and mindset.
What really stood out to me was how much they care. It’s not just about teaching moves—it’s about building confidence, discipline, and community. And they manage to do all that while keeping it affordable, which is rare.
If you're even a little curious about trying MMA—or you're just looking for a way to push yourself physically and mentally while being surrounded by genuinely good people—do yourself a favor and check out Xcite MMA. You...
Read moreI've been training with Carson for 6 months or so, having trained at other competing gyms in the area previous. I can honestly say that my confidence as a fighter has increased sevenfold since training with Xcite.
I feel like there are too many gyms that focus on drilling the same combo over and over again but don't put those habits in to use. At Xcite, the drills we do have a purpose. They aren't there simply as "time fillers", but as a means to an end. That end being a more skilled and confident fighter.
That being said, the gym isn't just for those wishing to compete. Carson focuses on practicality, so whether you're training for the ring or for that guy who wants to jump you in a dark alley after a night on the town, Xcite preps you for practicality.
And if you're not interested in defending yourself and you just want to get in shape... While I don't agree with you, the workouts kick your trash. So there's that haha
Either way, if you're coming from years of training or just want to give it a try, Xcite is a good place to come. Nobody is going to look down on you for asking "stupid questions" (I feel like i do that all the time). And Carson is very knowledgeable in his craft, so don't worry about getting good training. He...
