High Tide Beads — Local services in Bluffton

Found this bead shop on a whim after locating a local yarn shop in Bluffton. Steve, who is the shop owner and artist, was super friendly and gave some great insight into the history of lampworked beads. His shop is not super large, but he has a great selection of different beads from gemstones, metal charms, lamp work glass beads, etc. Loved his own artist created "low tide" pendants, which he said was inspired by the tide pools. I especially was fascinated by his ingenuity to make the clasp rotate 365 degrees, so there is always a front side and back side to the specially created lamp worked pendants. I have been coming to this store for over 15 years! Every year I'm in Hilton Head I go for a new necklace, bracelet, or anklet. My friend is really into beading so we stopped into this shop on vacation and we enjoyed it so much that we ended up coming back the next day for a class. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable and the class ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! As someone who knows nothing about beads, i did enjoy browsing the selection of handmade glass pendants and vintage jewelry for sale. Just a lovely little shop, highly recommend...
