Can not describe the disappointment! The prices are more expensive than if you were to buy the items brand new. eBay sells the vintage dish sets 50% cheaper than they are listed for at this establishment. A single average plate is listed anywhere from $3.99-14.99 depending on the pattern and any cut glass or crystal is upwards of $20. They have Joe boxer brand bras new with tags for $10.78, but the original sale tag is still on it for 7.99!! They have no deal of the day or color discount for the week like the other ST.VDP. I was shopping at the end of the day and I was reminded by each employee that I had 25 minutes until they close, and then reminded by 3 more employees that they would be closing in 20 mins, and then again at the 15 minute mark. I finally gave up browsing and checked out with a few things that were barely reasonably priced. Truly sad that they closed in downtown Youngstown (where there is a great need) to open a huge retail style store in the shopping district of Boardman. What crowd are they really trying to target? Not the needy, and not the poor. I am fortune enough to live in Warren where the ST.VDP seems to have an actual...
Read moreEVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING is terribly overpriced. Look at the brand new clothes with the tags...they'll charge you $6.99 and the original price bring 2.99. It's despicable. The Al dude, disrespectful and he discriminates. DO NOT WORK HERE.
I ALSO BROUGHT A COCKROACH đȘł HOME!!!!
there's boxes and boxes in the back and clothes just thrown in there WITHOUT it being looked at first. There's BABY cockroaches which means that they just hatched not long ago. The cockroaches are in the shirts and in the shoes, the MOST!!! LINENS ARE 75 PERCENT OFF BECAUSE OF THE BED BUGS FOUND. THEY SPRAYED THEM WITH BED BUG SPRAY, NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT DIDNT WORK AS I SEEN THEM CRAWLING ON TOWELS AND TABLE CLOTHS!!! (PROBABLY FROM JUMPING OFF THE LINEN!!)
go on go try this thrift store... Or you could go to goodwill or salvation army. Boardman one really sucks and...
Read moreI guess it depends on what your looking for. I bought a cup and bowl for under two dollars. Clean , organized store. Older furniture on the cheap, as it should be. As most of the dressers , desks and tv stands are more than a bit worn and mostly broken. So be careful pulling out drawers and opening doors. Decent little book section but was disapointed to see they're trying to sell water damaged books. The house wear section is small but some good stuff there. They have whole sets wrapped up so you can't just buy a few of certain ones, have to buy the set. Not a lot of retro or vintage items. For the floor space you would think they'd have a much bigger selection of everything. The clothing selection is a decent size. I didn't see anything I thought was too overpriced but I also didn't look through the clothing. It's not great but it's not...
