I loved this place. It's not fancy, but it's fresh. They are inside, with fresh shrimp, ready to sell. Ready to be enjoyed. We chose the cleaned shrimp. It came in a quart sized ziploc bag. I love it. Want to know why? That means a human took care of my fresh catch. That means that someone cared to do it correctly. That means, more then likely, this place is someone's labor of love. There were some other offerings, beside shrimp. Crab cakes (frozen) and maybe some other fresh catches. Honestly, by the time we got there, lots was already sold out. I HIGHLY recommend the Key Lime pie. We drove it back to New Jersey in a cooler, and it was still better then most I've had in restaurants. Eat local. Spend your money on people who care what you're eating.

My family has been patronizing Mike Norman's for over 30 years. It doesn't get more local and fresh than this. Captain Mike goes straight from the boat to the little store, he and Paula sell their own shrimp. Mike is usually out on the boat but this year we got a pic of both of them at the same time. They have medium/large/jumbo shrimp, scallops, key lime pie, and crab cakes. Depending on the catch they sometimes have tender green tails and deveined, deshelled shrimp. We only recently discovered the key lime pies ($16) Paula makes them with real key lime juice. And boy can you tell the difference. This is the best keylime pie I've had outside of Key Largo. Best on the island here. (The pics are from 2022/23).

After looking all over Morehead City and Beaufort we found Norman's and I'm glad we did. Picked up 30 pounds of fresh, I mean right off the boat shrimp , NC scallops and a key Lime pie for dessert and it didn't break the bank. They were unloading shrimp that we bought, doesn't get any fresher than that! Great folks to deal with, friendly and the place was clean. If you fish, this is the place to get your bait as well, fresh shrimp catches more fish.

We came down on vacation from the central part of North Carolina we fished at different locations using frozen shrimp 🦐. It would not stay on the hook that well. We started looking for a supplier of fresh shrimp 🍤. A local told us about this place. The guy and lady was real friendly people. They were reasonable on their prices. Th fresh shrimp worked out better than the frozen from the local pier and bait shops. Thanks Norman you made our vacation a...
