The salesperson we worked with Bill is not serving your best interest. First off we asked for an electric stove we got a gas one. My husband asked for a gas water heater we have an electric one. I asked for our patio door to open on the right outside and be centered, it’s centered but opens on the left outside! I requested several items to be repaired the 4 windows in the kitchen and living room don’t open all the way. We are also missing screens to our kitchen window. The kitchen lights didn’t work at all my husband fixed this so we should enjoy our home. The window sills have so many problems it’s hard to explain. I also found gauges in the baseboards not even going to bother them since they can’t fix anything else that’s wrong. Noticed the siding is pulling apart at the seam this last weekend. When they installed the house the workers smoke like chimneys and left their butts everywhere I got to pick those up! Fire pit was 20 feet from the building. We did have a good contractor he delivered on everything he promised and helped us with a few extras. Thanks to Hansen excavation and construction he did a great job. Read moreShane & North Country seemed great in the beginning but after 10 years in our home, we purchased through them & realizing what a well built home is, we're very disappointed in our purchase from them. Numerous large drywall cracks spread throughout the entire house, vents in the attic leaking, seam in basement was never insulated & there is a 1/2 inch gap that goes straight to the attic & they said they would cut the drywall out 2 ft. where the house was put together upstairs & put a full sheet of drywall in to help from cracking & covered it by smearing plaster over it to last long enough to get paid. We also had to replace the siding within 5 yrs. of purchasing. We've replaced several cracked windows & had to put in a bigger vent in our bathroom because the one they had in was too small & caused mold throughout our master bath. Read moreI have had issues with my home with large cracks in my ceiling. The first crack in my living room appeared after 1 year and I have several other cracks throughout my home. When I first called they said it was from settling. Bart(the owner) said for me to crawl underneath my home to check the support fittings to see if they were tight. I told him I would not know the first thing about checking my homes foundation. I asked if they had someone who does this. I attempted to schedule service call 3 times and Bart actually said, " do you expect me to drop everything I am doing to schedule your service call?" Not very good customer service at all from the owner of this company. I called one of their competitors and they were glad to help me without any issues at all.
