Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place sucks for people who need a little help by help I mean people on benefits like WIC or SNAP. They have signs up under products stating itās WIC approved then you get to the front to check out and whatever product said it was WIC approved on the shelf and on the WIC app gets declined. And then you as the customer get embarrassed, you have to put things you need back and you hold up the line, causing the embarrassment. And no one ever seems to know what theyāre doing besides the manager. Went to checkout today and put my stuff on the checkout, waited for my turn behind people as one does, and then gets to me and the card declines because there was something wrong with that particular card machine, the cashier behind the girl whoās checking me out goes, āoh yeah that register isnāt taking WIC cards right now, sheāll have to come over hereā Why wasnāt there a sign up or something so I didnāt waste my time waiting? Then I had to go to another line and wait behind another long line of people to just get two things. Please dont get me wrong, I donāt mind waiting my turn like everyone else, but it was the fact I waited and then had to wait again because no one could be bothered to notify customers paying with benefits that benefits werenāt working on the register right now, even the cashier at that register wasnāt aware of it, like what? I have issues every time I try to go in there and use my WIC and my heart hurts for other families far worse off that use WIC or SNAP as their primary source for food and they just get faced with issue after issue just trying to check out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to shop here all the time. Now I feel uncomfortable. I prefer to go to the registers, but if they seem to be backed up, I proceed to self check out. My last several visits to this store, there seems to always be this older white lady over self checkout who racial profiles you. Iāve observed her plenty of times. On the last occasion there were no black people at self checkout, so she didnāt feel the need to be inside the bay where she could watch people properly enter their transaction. When there are black people inside the self checkout bay, sheās overly helpful and acts like self checkout is a new concept for us, so she has to watch over your shoulder and be more helpful than necessary. Iāve experienced her hovering over the terminals of each black person while they checkout. I used to work asset protection for a major department store, so I know exactly what sheās doing. Then when you ask her for assistance with the military discount code, she gets all frazzled and says more than she needs to. Iāve actually stood back and compared her behavior to how she handles white people and she barely pays any attention to them and certainly does not hover over them. I spoke with one of the managers about it and have been told that I am not the only one who observed this behavior and the best way to file a complaint is through corporate because the store director approves this behavior. Theyāve lost majority of my business with this...
