Had the absolute worst buying experience here. Not just that, but the worst customer service. The only one that was willing to help and actually be a nice person and correct their mistake was Lindsay, the warehouse manager. We walked in, told them what couch we wanted, paid cash for it, picked it up later the same day and unloaded it at the office only to realize it was the wrong couch. When I called them, they wanted me to load it back up and bring it back to the store (only 2 miles away) instead of correcting their mistake by picking the wrong couch up and delivering the correct one.. I let that go at first.. Then when I told them that since it was their mistake and they need to correct it by delivering the correct couch we ordered, they acted like we were an inconvenience to them (no apologies, nothing). Sighing and acting like WE were the problem and they would not be able to get the correct couch to us until days later. They then scheduled for two days later to pickup and deliver and called the next day saying it would be 6-8 am (which our office does not open until 8:30). When I told Christiana that that was not feasible and explained our business hours, she said she will have to see what she can do and hung up on me. She called me back shortly later to tell me that since I could not do 6-8 am (because apparently I am the inconvenience here....) it would be another day or two delayed.. REALLY?! I then demanded to speak to a manager and told Christiana she was rude and hung up on me. She transferred me to Lindsay, who was wonderful and the only one willing to help me due to their mistake. Lindsay made it right and set up a desired delivery time and date with me. Overall, this experience was SO unprofessional and uncalled for. I was sad that the wrong couch was given initially, yes, but what made it so terrible was the customer service (or lack thereof) this place "offered". I will never go back.. and would never recommend to anyone I know.. Learn what customer service is. An apology would be great.. Have yet to receive that much from...
Read moreMy wife and I purchased a leather sectional with an attached chase. We knew our search for a couch was finally over. The sectional couch was the perfect combination of our tastes. We paid a pretty penny for this sectional not to put numbers out there. Everything was going well until the delivery guys came to drop the couch off. It was pouring rain, they tracked mud all throughout our new house and to add the smell like an ashtray. After the movers left we noticed our couch had multiple holes and one recliner portion didn't lock properly. We contacted Johnson's Furniture, and they had no problem with repairing the couch. This is when the real problems began. We contacted them early February and didn't hear anything back about the repair until late February. Then agreed to pick it up at an unreasonable time so we had to reschedule. I guess that means completely forget your costumer because we did not get a return call. We emailed them late march and they informed us they had the parts required to fix it so they could pick it up. They picked up part of our sectional late march. Then tell us it's going to take 2 weeks to fix it. My wife and I received our sectional a month later only because I emailed them to find out what was taking so long. They claim to have fixed the issues but now my sectional has torn edges and I'm tired of dealing with them. This issue was addressed in February and It took them 3 months to do there best and repair it. An example of how ridiculously long they took would be... I delivered my car to a paint shop and it had body work, a entire new paint job, and parts replaced in less the 2.5 weeks. That example actually happened in April.
Also purchased 2 dinning chairs from them. They don't sit flush on a level hard surface. We didn't know because they have a carpet floor...
Read moreHighly disappointed with the service I received. I ordered an entire bedroom set to be shipped to my home in Houston. I was never told that they only delivered to a hub, and that I would be responsible for picking up the shipment and setting it up myself, if I would have known this I would have never ordered my furniture from here I would have ordered from a local furniture store here in Houston. Me and my mother were told my furniture would be delivered to my home and setup, even at the top of my receipt it says deliver to my home address. The salesperson Sara was very pleasant initially but once my full payment was received I didn't get that same treatment that I received when she was trying to make her sale. Her story completely changed when I questioned why I wasn't notified that it would be delivered to a hub and not my home. She stated that she explained to me several times that it would be delivered to a hub, but she left out the fact that it would stay at the hub. The shipping manager was also very rude and kept repeating that I should have paid attention to the bottom of my receipt which says freight shipping to houston hub. I was contacted by who I assume was the store manager who didn't offer much help either, he just gloated about how I wouldn't find prices on furniture like that in Houston and that I didn't have to pay taxes since I was having it shipped to Houston, but now I have to pay movers to pick it up from the hub and have it brought to my house and setup so I'm still not saving any money. I spent quite a bit for my furniture and was planning on purchasing a lot more furniture from this store but now I don't think I will ever shop here or encourage anyone else to shop here either after how I...
