Egleston YMCA — Local services in Boston

At this point my license and application is already at the Desk. The young man said to me that another lady came in while I was on the phone so he is taken care of her that was fine with me but I had an appointment.

Both the rude lady and the young man said that I should left the application and they will call me and set everything up over the phone and the only thing that I need to do when I return to pick up the pass is to have my photo taken. That was fine with me but the call never came.

A lady was sitting next to him not sure if she is the sales person or the coordinator but she is RUDE as hell and not helpful.

The only call I had is for my license that I had left behind. I had made several calls that day and the RUDE lady keep answering and telling me that they will call me but they are very busy.

Went that same day to pick up my license and saw her and this is what she said (you don't want to signup ) and I stated that am still waiting on the call, her respond was "as you can see we are very busy and if you are unhappy then that's OK" REALLY!!! No customer service straight ghetto.

Last week I had gotten a call from a young man he is one of the coordinator not quiet remember, he assured me that he will look for my application and call me back any time after 7:00 pm but that did not happened! Once again I’m disappointed in the YMCA customer service very...

Poor customer service. My kid is at her third swimming classes there. But the always keep saying that the skills have not been achieved on the report, (she fail the class). they did even not teach her those skills on the report. I have tried many times getting in touch with the pool manager (Andrew Masterson). I have send him 2 emails (no reply), left 2 voice mail since 10 days,. no answers. I went there 2 times to meet him in person, since they tell me he is there only in the week (from 8 to 4pm), but they always tell me that he just left. they dont want me to see him and he doesn't want to reply to my messages. My kid class is on the week end. I am so angry right know. My kid has 2 more classes, then I am done with them. I took her to another swimming center. she has been test, and put in a advance class. Please dont send your kids there. They will not teach them much thing and they will always tell you that they did not achieved kills (those skills not even teach), and they should repeat those classes. they just want our money, with no customer service, no follow...

I have been a member of the Dorchester YMCA for 9 years and my experience with the friendly staff, the many classes that are offered, the fitness trainers, the summer camp for my middle child, and the cleanliness of the building has all been wonderful. I've been to other Boston YMCAs and the experience has been good but the Dorchester YMCA is my home and I feel GREAT being there.
