Read moreThis course has 3 nine hole courses and we played Coyote Run / Eldorado Valley. We paid $120 per player, which seemed over priced for the experience. No GPS, which is a problem for this course, our cart was in rough shape including a broken windshield, the cooler on the cart didn’t have a lid, and the range balls were mostly smooth and flew like knuckle balls.
As for the course, to me it felt a little tricked up, like they tried too hard to make an interesting layout resulting in a bunch of quirky, awkward holes. For a first time player it was tough on many holes to see the hole layout from the tee making it a complete guess where to aim sometimes. We pulled up a GPS app on our phones to get a better view of the holes, which helped. Lots of bunkers and desert areas, which is fine, except the “sand” is closer to course gravel, which doesn’t play like sand at all around the greens and actually scarred my irons in the fairway bunkers. We played in winter (January) and the course was fully dormant. They painted the fairways green, but lies were pretty tight. Probably plays better in summer.
The staff were very friendly and the restaurant looked nice, but we’ve played nicer courses for less money in...
Read moreThis was the final round of a week long friends golf trip. I would have to say this was probably the least enjoyable of all the rounds(Rhodes Ranch, Bears Best, LV Paiute and Angel Park were the others) Mainly due to the usual issue...greedy golf courses. After a week of golf where we were finishing each round(including a quick lunch stop) in about 4 hours and 15 minutes...this place was a mammoth 5+ hours to get done. The place was way overbooked and they had a 5some in front of us who were also slowing everything down but nothing was done with it. We are a group of 3 who were paired up with a local who also attested that this was a horrible round for time. On the plus side the practice facilities were pretty good for the price as well as including GPS for the carts. I will also add that the food/bev prices were some of the best we saw all week. I would of given this a lower score for the time but luckily we were flying out that night and had time to kill. But the slow pace can really mess with...
