Dollar General Market — Local services in Bowling Green

Dollar general market has gone completely downhill! It used to be a nice place to get great deals on everyday items and the store was easy to navigate. Not anymore! Now it sucks! They are always out of things I need. Since adding "Popshelf" the whole store is cluttered with a bunch of junk that I don't need just so they can charge me more money for shopping at a "fancy Dollar General"! And the coupons never actually save me anything, the cashiers are always ringing stuff up wrong. The cashiers never know anything about the coupons and refuse to correct the price manually. The registers can't even recognize how much money I have on my food stamp card, when every other store has that option. Instead of upgrading to be a fancy Dollar General, maybe they should upgrade the technology at the register. Multiple price tags for the same item so you never know what you will be charged. Shelves are always completely empty no matter what time...

I shop at dollar market at leadt three times a week, but I accidentally left two bottles of finger nail polish on my last visit. One of the managers even came to the register to check the items scanned because there was a new employee in training, and I thought she had scanned the nail polish twice. So, I went back to let the same manager know that I was missing the finger nail polish, & he asked me what day & time I was in the store. & I told him excatly when I purchased the nail polish. Then he stated that he had to check the camera, so I wsted for 20 minutes. for him to cone back to say that the camera show that my nail polish was in the bag I picked up. Howrver I didn't have thecnail polish when I got hone. So, I said don't worry aboyt it. I was disappointed with the way this manager handled the situation. I would not waste my time waiting 20 minutes of my valuable time to tell a lie to get. two bottles of...

I really wish they would pull other workers from doing carts or stock to open up registers during their busy hours Only having 1 sometimes 2 registers open when people are on the way to work, have a back injury and trying to stand in line for 10 to 15 mins is the worst part about this store. However there is a gentleman who has worked there for years now. He normally does the stock or cards, he is the sweetest kindest most helpful employee they have there. Obviously him being a stocker he knows where everything is. I have had to ask for help several times and he does not mind at all. I'm also short so if I can't reach something he is always able to help and I can't say enough about him. He's the sweetest hard working person there and I would really like to see him move up to manager. He would be the perfect fit for a...
