I truly love Tj Maxx and I don't have a problem with them at all but my mind is quickly changing. My mom came into the store the other day just doing her normal shopping and she gets around to the perfume section, she noticed a perfume bottle that's someone previously opened and left there. All my mom did was smell it since it was right there and if she liked it she would've tossed it in her cart to purchase. Right when my mom was smelling the perfume to see if she likes the scent, an employee walked up to her and said that she isn't allowed to open the perfume bottles right? Understandable and my mom understood that and told him that she found it opened from someone else that previously opened it. My mom did thoroughly explained to him that SHE HAD FOUND IT but yet the man still continues to stare and FOLLOW my mom around the store. Wouldn't you find that uncomfortable? Fast forward a week later, my mom went in today (Oct 10) to find some clothes and some skin care items for herself and picked up outfits to try on. The lady that was in the front to help with fitting rooms said that it was fine for my mom to just go in there without a card since my mom only had one item. After my mom was done trying on her clothes she put it back because she decided not to get it and went on her way. The same employee from last week was right there by the fitting room, still practically stalking my mom, asks "where's your card" and my mom and the lady that did the fitting room stuff explains that she let her go inside without the card since she only had one item with her. After that, my mom continued on with her shopping and this time multiple employees start to follow her and eye ball her down. I don't know if the male employee from before started spreading news to the other staff about the incident last week but the whole time my mom was shopping everyone kept following her and looking at her like she stole something. I understand that you want to keep your merchandise safe or whatever but just because my mom is a minority living in the US doesn't mean that we're gonna steal. I find it highly offensive. I do not appreciate the disrespect that the employees have given to my mom. She's been here probably longer than most your staff have been alive and even though she doesn't speak the best English doesn't mean you can take advantage like that with your damn customers. This really upsets me and I'm very disappointed with TJ Maxx's staff. Please stop treating people like...
Read moreThe manager of this store is EXTREMELY rude and is the reason my family and I will not be back. We came in on a Saturday (knowing it was going to be busy) and were in line to check out with a few things. My mom was the next in line and was looking at an item in the checkout line, waiting for them to say a register was open for her. The MANAGER then screams “You can go ahead and check out” to the woman behind my mom and tells her that my mom “was still looking” and she was going to let people in front of her. The woman behind my mom was obviously confused and offered to let my mom go first. The manager then rolled her eyes and said “are you ready now” to my mom. I find this VERY unprofessional for a manager of such a big corporation. I understand being busy, but she could have just asked if my mom needed more time instead of being so rude about it, considering my mom was just browsing and waiting for them to be ready for her. My mom is very sweet and would have gladly let the lady behind her go first, but we are both shocked at this experience. Not to mention, this is FAR from the first time I have seen this particular manager yell at/get smart...
Read moreI shop at TJ Maxx at least once a week. I truly do love the deals, but after today, I’ve lost so much respect. They have a hold policy, that is always the same, they can hold it until 30 minutes before they close. Please tell me why, I have asked them to hold a few things for me so I can run to pick my kids up from practice etc., only to return an hour later to find they put the stuff up that they promised they would hold for me. Tonight was the last straw. When I returned to the store, 1.5 hours before they closed, to find they had put up my most of my items I had on hold. Only a handful of people were helpful (I truly am thankful for their help), but the other staff did not even care to take blame for who had made the mistake. I am upset because that was some present that I have been coming in the store for weekly to see if they were going to have more of a certain item. I just want to know why this has happened to me 4 times in the past few months, considering I am an avid TJ Maxx shopper. Is there some vendetta against me because I find high quality brand name clothes for my 2 teenage daughters and for some reason it pisses them off when...
