Over a year ago we bought a beautiful sectional for almost $3,000. When it arrived, I noticed part of the fabric was damaged as well as many of the feet - dented and chipped. The delivery person noted this and offered to fill in the feet with a marker. Considering how much we paid, I asked if the damaged parts could be replaced. He said he would have someone call about it. After not hearing back, I called and they said they would order the parts and it would take 4-6 weeks. About 3 months later I called back and they couldn't seem to find the order. They said it would again take 4-6weeks. After this wait time went by I went into the store and asked to speak with the manager. He said they recently had some turnover and cited this as the reason for their lack of follow up and knowledge of the situation. However, I observed that the salesperson and the person I spoke to in the parts/repair department were both still there (I'm good at remember in names). The manager said he would get to the bottom of this and took my number down. I never heard back from them. I tried to reach out to the owner with no response. I have young children and a busy life (as most people do) so honestly after a year has gone by it's not worth the effort to pursue having the damage fixed. I've needed other pieces of furniture and although I think Conlin's has a nice selection and the shopping process was great, their follow-up has been the worse. Considering how much we paid, it has been disappointing. I have had problems with leather sofa set I purchased from this company last February.2015 a tech came out in september and he was very friendly and helpful and touched up areas on leather that wasnt holding its color. my furniture is brown and my sofa had orange spots that appeared after I wiped down with damp cloth, just water mind you. After he was done you could only slightly see areas and I thought to myself I will not complain since he left telling me if any other problems please let him know and he would look into replacing this particular piece. this November these particular spots have appeared again I have contacted and spoke with several staff members but their hands are tied due to management not wanting to take care of this problem. I cannot get anyone to return my calls and last I heard management was wanting to send tech out to touch up sofa again.this is not ok. this 3 piece set is genuine leather and of good quality or so I thought. I Purchased additional 5 year protection plan on these pieces but they cannot do anything due to the fact it is still under manufacturer warranty. All I am asking is for a phone call from management. Kim listened to what we wanted, found exactly what we wanted, respected our budget and was available to help but didn't hover or push us. *Edit. I reduced the score down to one star because delivery was an absolute nightmare. First they were a day later than scheduled, but my husband took off time from work to be there at the scheduled delivery time, then they arrived late and only had a box spring, no mattress to be found. They had decided to send the actual mattress on a second truck HOURS later because their delivery truck was late (this tidbit wasn't communicated to us until around my 4th phone conversation with them). All this time, my husband was literally waiting to go back to work but couldn't because they wouldn't give us any information, just a bunch of "um" and "uh" and putting on hold or telling me they would have to check with the manager and call me back. Why would you decided it is a good idea to send a box spring, take our only bed, and not give us any information of where our new mattress was or if it was even going to be delivered that day (remember they were already a day later than we originally scheduled).
