We had three meals prepared by Kyle and Stephanie at the house we rented in Big Sky and one was better than the other. They catered for our group of 19 with many kids and everyone loved everything. Even the vegetable sides were outstanding and unique. I’ve never had such delicious carrots! But the main dishes were all expertly prepared (the chicken was gorgeous), beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. And you must try Stephanie’s key lime pie! It is hands down the best I’ve ever had and I don’t even think I like key lime pie that much but this… I couldn’t stop eating it. They also presented wonderful alternatives for my pescatarian daughter, not afterthoughts at all. And the kids ate a simpler version of what we were having so they weren’t just thrown some Mac and cheese. We are picky, spoiled New York City diners and we were very, very impressed. We were very happy to be guests for an incredibly delicious meal prepared by Wild Chef’s owners. Their smoked trout appetizer was a fantastic start to the meal! It was perfectly seasoned and only lightly smoked, with the fresh trout remaining the satisfying focus. For dinner, the Bibb lettuce salad was seasoned lightly with mint and served with a champagne vinaigrette dressing that made you want to ask for more! The Montana New York strip steak entrée was a prime cut of beef that had the juicy flavor of a ribeye steak, accompanied by perfectly prepared fresh grilled vegetables. Oh. My. Goodness. Everything about our experience with Kyle and Stephanie was perfect!! Planning a dinner party for 15 people from my home base in MN could have been very nerve wracking, but Kyle talked me through the menu options, timing, etc. so that I had total faith in their catering services in the weeks preceding the event. Wonderful aromas hit our guests' noses as they entered the home and the charcuterie board that awaited them was magnificent! From the starter salad with many ingredients sourced from Stephanie's garden, to the berry crumble that finished the meal, each morsel was exquisite.
