I am not one to post a complaint on my first visit because everyone has an off day, but today I make an exception. I went to this store looking for a Vacuum Pump. The first employee I spoke with told me "we don't sell vacuum cleaners" which i explained was not the same item I was seeking. She then passed me off to another employee who walked me down to plumbing and showed me sum pumps which I told him was again not what I was seeking. He told me to wait right there and walked away never to return. After several minutes I went looking and found him chatting another employee up several rows over. I found a 3rd employee who just said "we don't carry those" despite carrying vacuum pump oil, and accessories without even double checking to be sure. I was shocked that there were so many employees and yet no one seemed to care if customers were helped or not. I know it says clothing store, and they DO sell clothes, but Murdoch's is primarily a farm and ranch supply store. You'll find everything from chicken feed to ammunition, horse and cow antibiotics and vaccinations to barbed wire for fencing. Murdoch's has it all. If you can't find it anywhere else, try Murdoch's! Their stock is amazing for it's wide variety and the staff are friendly and helpful. I shop there when my pets need vaccinations or come down with a stuffy nose and cough. With, soon to be, three locations in the Bozeman/Belgrade area, finding a Murdoch's near you is easy. Even if you aren't a rancher, just check out Murdoch's. Best place in town to buy dog food and pet supplies. Easily the best price on "Taste of the Wild" dog food and they regularly run really good sales. They always have plenty of staff that are actually friendly and offer to help you. Great firearms department, awesome parking; I can't really say anything bad about this place. I like to buy nice quality western style clothing but a lot of the clothing here is kind of cheap stuff that isn't made in America; but that is my only complaint and it isn't really Murdoch's fault because most brands like "Wrangler" aren't even made in America anymore. They have SO much stuff here that it is actually fun to explore and discover everything they have. One of the last best "real" Montana places we have around here, long-time locals still...
