From the moment we walked into Dry Fly Saloon, we were greeted by Emma’s warm smile and an energy that instantly made us feel welcome. She truly went above and beyond to make our evening one to remember.
Her attention to detail was impressive. Not only did she recommend the perfect dishes based on what we were in the mood for, but she also shared some great stories about the restaurant’s local roots and history. It was clear she wasn’t just doing a job. she genuinely cares about giving every guest a great experience.
And the food, wow! Local, fresh, and full of flavor. The menu highlights the best of the area, with dishes that are both creative and delicious. You can really tell the chefs take pride in using quality local ingredients. Emma made some great suggestions, and it felt like she was curating the perfect meal for us.
As someone who’s worked in the food industry, I really appreciated how Emma managed everything with such grace. She kept an eye on everything happening around her, helped out her teammates, and made sure every guest was taken care of. You can tell she’s a natural leader, looking out for both the customers and her fellow servers.
If you’re lucky enough to have Emma wait on you, you’re in for a treat. She’s the kind of person who makes a night out special. Dry Fly Saloon is lucky to have someone as passionate and dedicated as her. Five stars,...
Read moreOur recent visit to Dry Fly Saloon in Field & Stream Lodge on July 4, 2025 was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we walked in at 10 AM, the service stood out. Our server was incredibly accommodating, checking with the chef to offer our group of nine both breakfast and lunch menus, which we greatly appreciated.
The food was, without a doubt, a highlight. We sampled a wide variety of dishes including the Breakfast Sando, F&S Dip Duo, Farm Egg (sunny side up), Fried Chicken Sandwich (Nashville Hot), Fruit Bowl, Granola & Yogurt, Omelette with Onion and Spinach, and the Smoked Trout Dip. Every dish was delicious, but the Smoked Trout Dip and the Fried Chicken Sandwich - Nashville Hot were absolute standouts, bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared.
Regarding the beverages, the coffee selection was generally good, with the Cappuccino, Mocha, and Drip Coffee all being satisfactory. However, the Cortado was a notable exception, being quite good. Unfortunately, the Hot Chocolate was disappointing and we wouldn't recommend it.
Overall, despite a minor hiccup with the hot chocolate, the excellent food and exceptional service made this a memorable and highly recommended dining spot for groups looking for a flexible and...

If you found this place, do yourself a favor and stop on in. It's brand new with an authentic retro northernwoods cabin feel right out of the 1950s. The wait staff has incredible uniforms, so much so we had to grab our own from the gift shop!
The wait staff was super friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible. We had the smoked trout dip to start off and it was the best I have ever had and I've had a lot but by far this was the best. Big chunks of fish and incredible flavor.
The double cheeseburger was great. The 12 oz bone in pork chop was amazing and I had Brussels sprouts but these were amazing. Lightly baked with incredible flavor.
The cookie in the cast iron pan with the ice cream was more than enough for three dudes.
We will be coming back for sure for the food and the friendly staff!
Even the manager Hannah came out to say high and we grabbed a photo with the...
