Bradenton Public Market — Local services in Bradenton

I am a participant in my home farmers' market so I seek out markets when traveling. The Bradenton Farmers' Market is the best I've found and, since my dad lives in Bradenton, I've been able to visit several times. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, the variety of food and other items available is extensive and the prices are great! Many markets have forgotten their original purpose of bringing producers and consumers together without a middle man and have taken on a rather expensive, elite reputation but not the Bradenton market. There are plenty of bargains to be found such as fifty cent avocados, cantaloupes for $1, a half pound of freshly harvested cremini mushrooms for $2. This event was really cool, we first arrived on the scene right around noon and as it had already begun parking was a difficult find. We ended up in a parking garage downtown (on the 3rd or 4th floor) after we parked and walked down to the market we were greeted with tons of singing! As you get a chance to explore the makeup of this farmer's market you'll realize it's incredibly diverse. This is a really well attended, well run small town Farmer's market. There are some great produce stands as well as vendors for coffee, Olive oil, pet treats, and many other things.

My favorite part is that it fits a ton in just a small, one aisle market. You can't get lost or overwhelmed, but you can still find a number of grocery Staples and some awesome craft products or gifts as well.

My mom goes every week for her fruit and vegetable needs and whenever I visit her, I tag along to the farmers market. I always walk away pleased with the experience. Vendors are nice and provide quality products no matter what...
