Jennings downtown Provisions — Restaurant in Bradenton

I always love the vibe on Old main Street in downtown Bradenton. This place, Jennings Provisions, is right next to a great Italian restaurant named Fav's. They have indoor-bar, courtyard and outside seating.

Jennings always has a rotating menu with daily specials. They have a nice little boutique and bar inside, where you can dine in and get great craft beer and wine. I ordered a shrimp and lobster quesadilla special as well as their Bavarian pretzel plate with a traditional German sausage, beer cheese and stone ground mustard. All the food was fresh and delicious! The sour IPA I had was from Victory and made me very happy. It was also a dollar off for happy hour!

I celebrated my birthday at this quaint and unique space last month, and have been back several times since. Meaghan, the owner, is friendly, accommodating, and a lovely person to chat with. We have tried just about everything on their food menu, as well as sampled many of their wines. Everything we tried we loved! We particularly enjoyed the Lola Pinot Noir. As we learned, Lola, is the label of her brother's vineyard in the Sonoma Valley. Don't expect over-the-top service, expect excellent food, excellent wine, and excellent conversation. Just love this place! Supporting local restauranteurs is so important. Keep the national chains from absorbing or forcing the mom and pops out. Cheers to the entire Jennings...

Excellent Smoked Salmon Flatbread, wide assortment of Craft Beers. Don't be distracted by the racks and benches of clothing at the entrance. It's a full featured restaurant and bar.

Jordan was quite helpful in helping select the perfect complement to the Smoked Salmon Flatbread this evening. She graciously provided me with tastings from a number of their draught beers before selecting the Victory Sour Monkey Tripel, a Tripel with a citrus twist.
