Christian Associates Thrift Store — Local services in Branson West

Really nice display in the front room. They have some unique pieces most times. The prices are way too high. Example: large-ish beveled mirror was priced $30. Found at another thrift store, equally nice -$15. In the back rooms of the store, it’s chaos. Linens are not marked, much less sorted. It’s difficult to get volunteers. We get that, but they do have staff. Also, there is another store in Nixa. The proceeds go to local schools. In Branson West, there is some ambiguity about where the proceeds go. When I’ve asked the people at the register, they have no clue. This time, the customer behind me has a punch card for discounts per $ spent. I asked for one, but the clerk told me they had them only in Nixa. The customer was shocked & said she’d gotten hers at the BW location a few months back. Absolutely LOVE going to this trendy thrift store! It really is a hidden gem in Stone County and worth the drive, I promise. Upon arrival, I met a really sweet lady named Dee. She greeted me with a warm smile (behind the mask, of course) and guided me throughout the store with my young kids. She interacted with my kiddos and really made them feel special. The store is really organized, clean, and it was evident that Dee places her heart in this store. I walked out with more items then I needed but I know my funds are going to a good cause supporting the Harbor House domestic abuse shelter and the Food Pantry. This thrift store is a joke! Everything is over priced and most of the women who work there are rude and unprofessional! One of the workers accused my daughter who is 4 of stealing a necklace beach she was looking at the jewelry! She also accused me of stealing and told me bathing suits are not included in the $10 clothing bag. I proceeded to tell her I didn't have one in the bag. She had the audacity to tell me I was lying because she saw me looking at the bathing suits! I dumped out my bag and she looked through it and gave me a dirty look!
