I played out there Saturday the 13th. I played the Woodlands course and really enjoyed it. The greens were firm and rolled nicely. The layout was challenging but really fun. The clubhouse was really nice.
The main reason why I give it 3 stars was a couple of things. If you play the Woodlands course bring drinks/food. I did not know it was a straight 18 holes with no return to the clubhouse after 9. I was assured by the starter who was very nice there was a beverage cart out there, and if she didn’t have any food I could order it and they would bring it out. We ordered at 6, we saw her at 9, she confirmed there was an order she had to pick up. We got it at 17th hole, lol. The course dogs were some of the worst I’ve had. Too much meat to bread in my opinion, it didn’t seemed cooked, and cold like they’ve been sitting out for a couple hours. Seems plausible seeing that it took 2 plus hours to get them to us.
I’d play it again because I liked the course and pace of play wasn’t bad. What gets me is they had a snack bar out there, and it was closed. Maybe they only open it during the summer who knows. Maybe it was an off day. I expected more from...
