I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Ace Hardware today that has left me truly questioning their commitment to customer satisfaction. I recently purchased a box of 4 LED bulbs, and discovered that one of them was defective. I went back to the store hoping for a simple exchange, but was met with an incredibly uncooperative manager named Alex.
Instead of addressing the issue with understanding, empathy, or any sort of solution-oriented approach, Alex insisted that the only option available to me was to return all 4 bulbs - including the 3 that I had already installed - for a refund. This was absolutely unacceptable. I had spent time and energy installing those bulbs, requiring me to use a ladder, and now I was being asked to undo all that work, make another round trip to the store, and somehow find a replacement bulb from a different store.
This experience has left me feeling extremely frustrated and let down by Ace Hardware. In today's competitive retail landscape, it's shocking to see a store like Ace still not understanding the importance of customer service. As a loyal customer for years, I expected more from this establishment. I hope the corporate offices take note of this review and take appropriate action to rectify the situation, and ensure that future customers do not have to go through similar ordeals.
Until I see some significant improvements in Ace Hardware's customer service, I will be taking my business elsewhere and recommending that my friends and family do the same. A company that does not value its customers or stand by its products has no place...
Read moreBrought my saw here to be fixed. Dude behind the counter had a belittling tone. I’m not a complete moron, my saw wasn’t just flooded like he was claiming. I pulled the plug and let it sit overnight. When I brought it in originally, they couldn’t get it started after several attempts either. They lack transparency and ability or want to educate customers. I’m sure they had to take/adjust something to get it going again. But they don’t want to tell me.
My chain saw won’t start again(two months later). Giving second thoughts about bringing it back to this clown house. Throwing money away. Stihl must be an anagram for something else. My back up ryobi started, so I guess I’ll be using that.
Guy behind the counter said “people bring these saws back all the time claiming they won’t start. They are always just flooded, they will shoot gas out when we take the plug out, then start”
That’s a great saw I guess, constantly won’t start. I never had an issue until the day I had to bring it in(and again today about two...
Read moreJust came in to purchase two steel garden stakes to hang a banner of "never forget" for September 11th while waving our country's flag with my 7 year old son on 211rd. There was only one small stake and another one larger. A nice gentlemen assisted in checking inventory for another small one. At the register, they refused to price match the larger stake to the smaller stake. Not the cost that was the issue but the principle. Their lack of inventory management becomes more money out of my pocket. Ace is already higher priced priding themselves on a more personal approach to customer service in the local community as their competitive advantage. An experience like this means I am only paying a higher price. With Lowes coming to the town, it's a shame the manager that was called to the register could not provide a solution and resolution to this. Promise, last time i'll make a purchase at this Ace. Principle, we need more of it in...
